Article in daily mail seems random at first glance and full of comments asking so what etc but isn’t their a rumour that Prince William had an affair with this woman?!

Kate Middleton 'went to music festival' with her friend Rose Hanbury

Kate Middleton 'went to music festival' with her friend Rose Hanbury

The Princess of Wales, 41, is understood to have made her first ever visit to a music festival at the weekend, albeit a very upper-class one at Houghton Hall in Norfolk.

I wondered that also.

It's all about clicks isn't it. Typing the word 'middleton' into google will throw this up, so anyone looking for info about Kate will stumble onto this, hoping for some goss.
It's pretty horrible really. However, you wonder why Pippa allowed this- her husbands family own the resort they are staying at, so you'd think they would be able to prevent paparazzi like this.

Unless it's a purposeful distraction? Anyway, it's all v weird.

Yes that's what I think. A purposeful distraction. People get caught up in ' Look at Pippa Middletons figure after 3 kids' and 50 threads on Mumsnet about how she does it ( also strange) instead of ' what's going on with Kate?'

Lampzade · 26/02/2024 07:03

I think it is obvious that the Pippa bikini shots are a distraction…..

What kind of operation needs 3 months recovery time and 2 weeks in hospital?

Hysterectomy is a few days in hospital and 6 weeks recovery.

There's something else going on here.

Edited

I don't know why you think the recovery time for a hysterectomy is relevant - presumably that's not what she had. I can think of a few ops that would have that sort of time in hospital and recovery but I'm not going to speculate on this thread. I don't know why some are determined to conclude she didn't have surgery.

CurlewKate · 26/02/2024 15:59

@JenniferBarkley ". I don't know why some are determined to conclude she didn't have surgery."

I'm not determined to conclude that. But it's impossible to deny that it's all very odd.

JenniferBarkley · 26/02/2024 16:04

Nothing odd about it to me at all. She clearly needed surgery at short notice, and prefers to keep the details private. Many big surgeries do have long recovery periods, I feel for her but there's nothing that seems odd to me at all in the whole thing.

Runnerinthenight · 26/02/2024 18:18

Nothing odd to me either. Woman needs surgery. Woman has surgery. Woman recovers.

Nothing to see here?

CurlewKate · 26/02/2024 18:38

The faux naïveté is fascinating. And amusing.

JaneJeffer · 26/02/2024 18:39

So what do people think happened if not surgery?

The fauv "I know something you don't" is tedious and boring. A bit sad, in fact.

I really don't know what you're hinting at. I'm all for royal gossip, scandal and conspiracy theories so please do share!

Hagbard · 26/02/2024 19:06

LINDAHOAD · 24/02/2024 13:58

that is the sort of thing the middletons would do name the child rose to try and rise above the gossip and close ranks william has a eye for the ladies and kate knows this.

sandlewood

Sandalwood? Sounds spy-ey

@JenniferBarkley "I really don't know what you're hinting at. I'm all for royal gossip, scandal and conspiracy theories so please do share!"

I'm not hinting at anything because I know nothing. I'm just amused at the people insisting that it's entirely normal for a healthy young/middle aged woman to be in hospital for two weeks for surgery and then off work and invisible for 3 months recovery. I'm old- and I can't remember this happening to anyone I know.

You've got a strange sense of humour!

It's not normal but it's not unheard of at all. She's been unlucky for sure but it really isn't unbelievable.

I'm not amused by the situation. I am amused by the "nothing to see here" brigade. Of COURSE there's something to see here.

But why can't that something to see be a bowel resection?

I'm not part of any brigade but there really is nothing to see here

What kind of operation needs 3 months recovery time and 2 weeks in hospital?

A hemicolectomy for Crohn’s disease

Not necessarily. It depends on the complications of the surgery. My surgeon wrote 14 weeks on my first fit note, and recommended a phased return.

A facelift does if you want to look completely normal when next seen in public. Tummy tuck also maybe

If she was going to get a face lift (no tummy to tuck) it would have been scheduled in to the summer holidays when she already takes time off to be with the kids. They wouldn't have cancelled engagements and drawn worldwide attention for cosmetic surgery.

YesThatsATurdOnTheRug · 26/02/2024 23:35

'Tummy tuck' ffs there's nothing to bloody tuck! She's as slim as a reed.

Runnerinthenight · 26/02/2024 23:42

Well it's certainly got all the sad little conspiracy theorists all worked up...
