To think this could be drugs?

So I was just getting things out for the kids to play with in the water tray and came across a tin and thought they could use it. Just opened it and found a brown substance wrapped in cling film and rolling paper.

What does it look like to you?

I never need to go into the storage outside but today I did and happened to come across it.

I want to confront my DP who I know will probably gaslight me and say he has no idea. But it was a tin together with the rolling paper.

The problem is he's off next week and we've planned days out with the kids and I don't want to ruin it for them if things go sour.

I don't like the stuff and don't agree with it so it's a possible deal breaker for me tbh.

I'm not sure whether I should just leave it where I found it and check on it week after next and see if it's been used or hide it somewhere else and see if he reacts to it. He obviously won't tell me he can't find it as he's clearly hidden it from me. But then he'll know I've found it.

I don't know what to do atm until next week is over with.

What would you do?

It’s solid. No biggie IMO but if it’s a deal breaker to you then you need to tell him you’ve found it!

I would move it and hide it if it were me. See his reaction when he can't find it.

The cost issue if you can't afford food is an issue.

The way to know if he’s a frequent user is to hide the tin. If he doesn’t miss it or ask for it means it’s once in a blue moon type of thing. If he inquires about it in a couple of days he’s probably a frequent user. The smell when you smoke it is pretty strong so if you haven’t smelled the smoke he’s probably smoking it some place else.

never forget that 1 of my sons friends hid it in his wardrobe, his mum found it and threw it away, she thought it was an oxo cube!!! many moons ago now.

If you are struggling that much for money then this is not on, he also needs to stop smoking tobacco…and I say this as someone who likes the odd roll up on occasion.

I would get out the tin this evening & ask him how he is able to source drugs when his children can't eat ?
he will lie & say its someone else's.
I would say I don't believe you, & I do not accept drugs in my home where my kids could potentially find them, & he is a big big disappointment.
What kind of a adult does this, he has a family time to act like a MAN & not a sorry excuse of a spotty small dick teenager.
Then I would flush the stuff down the toilet

He's probably shooting up too to be fair. Is there ever a strong smell of glue anytime?

Well if it’s weed it will stink, if it’s something else his behaviour will let you know. Put it back and see if it’s moved

Why don't you 'tidy' the storage, and shuffle that tin out of sight, move lots of other stuff about, Then see if he re-tidies to find it!

As many pp have said, it's hash, and hash doesn't stink.
