It could be chewing gum, shower gel, food, pens, anything really. For me it's the Muller corner vanilla yogurt with chocolate balls. A gorgeous treat and it's under a pound!

It's currently a mint twirl.

Comedycook · 21/07/2023 10:12

Great thread

a whole pomegranate...love them. Usually pay 95p

Comedycook · 21/07/2023 10:12

Oh and Primark flip flops for £1

HippyChickMama · 21/07/2023 10:23

The £1 liquid concealer from Poundland! They do one in a very pale shade which is perfect for my colouring and it doesn't dry my under eye skin like cream concealers. The colour correcting peach toned one was also brilliant for camouflaging dark circles but I haven't been able to get that for ages

WeightInLine · 21/07/2023 10:35

An avocado. 85p

For some reason these still seem exotic.

madeinmanc · 21/07/2023 10:46

I got some lovely sunglasses in Primark for £1 last week, people keep on asking where I got them! 😆

Also Koka curry flavour noodles from Home Bargains, used to be around 35p but I'm sure they've gone up now.

Yes! They come in SO many pretty colours and patterns.

PurplePositivity · 21/07/2023 12:13

Agree on the bunch of daffs.

I was in the Home of Bargains the other week and got some sort of foot moisturiser socks for 99p. I sat watching tv for an hour & my feet felt amazing.

ChrisPriss · 21/07/2023 12:17

Another vote for 99p Kindle books - especially if it's one you've been waiting for!

OmniPocket · 21/07/2023 12:36

Thank you to pps who mentioned the £1 Primark flip flops! Teething DD has chewed my flip flops to bits and I need some new ones, but wanted some cheap ones as I know she'll get her little chompers on them at some point despite my best efforts. I don't go into Primark so wouldn't have found out about these without you lot. They look perfect.

Mine would also be kindle books and daffs, and paying the library's £1 reservation fee if I really want to read a new book that's out and don't want it to wait to come across it in a charity shop.

ColonelSpondleClagnut · 21/07/2023 12:47

A Bretzel from our local bakery (in Germany) just under a euro.

Also here to find out if @OmniPocket's DD is a daughter or a dog 👀

Daughter! My flip flops are just the right spongy texture apparently. She ignores the teething toys I've bought her. It's shoes all the way.

ohdamnitjanet · 22/07/2023 07:06

Another shout for Kindle! Just bought some really nice hand cream from Poundland, it’s amazing what you can still buy in there.

leccybill · 22/07/2023 08:38

Reisen bar from Home Bargains - dark chocolate and chewy caramel in 6 little pieces. A gorgeous treat - 39p

Pramhelp · 22/07/2023 08:42

Chocolate covered flapjacks from home bargains, used to bd 35p, just gone up to 45p!

Steppered · 22/07/2023 09:08

What a great thread! Thank you OP.
Lindt red chocolate bar. 99p kindle book. Bunch of daffs, yes!
5 cards for £1 in card factory definitely helps stretch the pennies too.

thebear1 · 22/07/2023 09:13

Fake mini magnums. Box is more than £1 but per ice cream they are less than £1.

Thirdcatisabitmuch · 22/07/2023 20:46

Lemon & Chilli Grils - from Indian food section - best crisps ever and these are a massive bag for less than £1

Glemanam · 22/07/2023 21:40

Warm baguette because you happened to be walking past the Bakery section and could smell them 😅

Bettysnow · 22/07/2023 21:47

Lidls washing up liquid 44p a bottle and a million times better than fairy liquid which is rubbish now

MonkeyDoodles · 22/07/2023 22:03

Daffodils.
Relax radox shower gel.
Snackrite salt and vinegar crisps from Lidl.
Punnet of doughnut peaches from Lidl.
Red pesto sauce jars from Lidl.

randomuserrr · 22/07/2023 22:07

Aha! Sesame snacks from Asda Polish section. 35p of sesame loveliness.
Alberto Balsam apple shampoo 95p

When it's the right time of year, a bunch of daffodils.

Yes!

I love daffodil season, always cheer me up

Stichintime · 22/07/2023 22:14

London mix from tesco, about 75p.
