What has been the best thing about your day today?

I have had a surprisingly good Monday today, work day went well, I've exercised and eaten well.

The best thing about my day today has been listening to great music on my solo run, which was lovely and slow so not super hard, with what felt like the perfect running weather. It was a privilege to take that time for myself and move my body in the fresh air after sitting down working all day.

What was your best part of the day?

The peace and quiet after the DC went to bed and my ears finally stopped ringing.

DS age 12 was a star. He helped me do some pretty heavy physical work (clearing out garage type of thing). Didn’t complain, just cracked on. We got the job done done in no time.
Also I’ve done 18,239 steps today.

Dd2 who is 10 telling me she had a good day at school. She's had some scary health issues and every day she feels ok is like a gift.

A new colleague at work telling me all about her argument with her husband. Sounds weird but I've moved to a team where I don't really know anyone and it made me feel accepted and trusted and that meant a lot.

Making a yoga class for the first time in ages felt awesome afterwards.

It was going to be spending time with a couple of friends but while we were meandering back to mine after a bite to eat I ended up in conversation with a nice handsome man and tomorrow, for the first time in years, I'm going on a date. With the handsome man. He asked I gave him my number, we arranged a date.

Yea it was a pretty good day: I worked out
I kept within calorie goal
My son reported (he doesn't live with me and I worry about him) that he had a good day and went to kickboxing after work.
I sold something in my Etsy shop
My daughter and I had a nice meal and evening together.
Yep, could have done more but happy with that.

A lay in, a fantastic orgasm & a wonderful dinner (not all at once obviously)

Catching up with a friend whilst we had a long walk.

Discovering new roads by getting a bit lost.

That’s exciting @MouseMinge! let us know how it goes.

I love threads like this. Highlight of my day was DS4 at bedtime thanking me for making the summer holidays so great and planning so many fun things for him and his siblings to do.

My husband surprised me with a pair of Hoff trainers I've been hanging my nose over for a long time. They're too big (even though he bought my usual size), so he'll need to swap them but it still made me happy.

I got the results from my most recent OU course a day early and was relieved to find out I had passed better than I thought I would.

We've had a lot of major things in our family life and I barely had time to write my essays, never mind read the 16 set books, the textbook and all the further reading that was expected of us so I wasn't expecting to pass at all tbh.

I just have one more course to take and I'll finally finish the degree I started in 2008 when DC2 was a baby.
