I've been through a lot and I'm 30. I have three children. I was married very young and have been through huge trauma but I have over come it. I want to write about it because it's my story of addiction withdrawal and redemption

I don't have the discipline to sit still and write, I have adhd,

Is there a way to tell my story to a writer and work together with them? Thank you
And also is this really fucking big headed of me to think people would want to know my story of how I over came addictions?

Is it really the case that most people would view the OPs addiction as a non-event because of her background? Addiction is sadly so commonplace, in every social strata, in every age bracket, it's a non-event for others from any background. The person for whom it's not a non-event is the OP, which is why there is worth in her trying to get her story on the page for herself.

I should have added I wasn't looking for a profit but to break even.

I would be really interested maybe in just hiring someone to type my story and I can talk to them. Then I can edit it before sending it to a few small publishers to see if anyone could help? Is it very very very expensive? Maybe a blog is more realistic xx

A vlog might be easy to do as well, you can just use your phone to film yourself while talking. If you want to stay anonymous just film outside so people can look at the sea or ducks in a pond while listening to you talk.

I wouldn’t see it as a non-event in anyone’s life. Some of these posts were just needlessly mean.

It really depends on the quality of writing. Anne Frank was stuck in basically a tiny house for two years writing about bad food, the beginning of puberty and little squabbles with the same people over and over again and it is one of the most interesting books to read. If you can write down your thoughts and memories in an interesting way then anything can be made interesting.

Just an idea, what about in the format of an interview?
Could make it easier to read for younger people?

@Creepyrosemary

Anne Franks writing was exquisite for a 13 year old too, which only added to the wonder of her diary.
