Gross things you do that you know is gross but continue to do

Occasionally my scalp can be a bit scabby. I love nothing more than picking them out... And eating them. There's something so satisfying about that crunch between the teeth.

Don't come at me about how disgusting it is. I know. Hence the title 😄

AIBU to ask you to share away your also gross but cannot help habits? Let's rejoice in anonymous grossness!

Poking out tonsil stones with my tongue. They taste and smell disgusting, but l still sniff and eat them.

Thr experience of actually getting one out is almost orgasmic.

I am terrible for pickcing at scabs. I end up with scars because I pick so much!
And peeling skin after a sunburn!!! I cannot get enough of it!! And get really annoyed if its just flaky and not coming out in chunks!!!

But you realise that the water in the flush is clean, right? Comes from the same place as the water on the tap! it just sits in a cystern for a bit (not that long, when its a public toilet!).
So what exactly is the problem? Its more hygienic than using toilet paper!

I was more thinking about the toilet itself. Maybe if it was my own and I know it was bleached clean, but the rims where the water comes out from do get dirty
It has never occurred to me to do it that way in the past though so not something I'd given thought ro until now

Love a head scab, I also enjoy sniffing instead of blowing my nose. I think blowin your nose is disgusting, how it’s more socially acceptable than a sniff I will never know.

I feel I'm really missing out! I've no idea what head scabs are!! Though I do remember loving the sensation of picking my DCs cradle cap off his head when he was a baby :) If head scab picking is basically the same as cradle cap picking, then I totally get you!

Not sure how gross this is, but I suck my thumb. Would never ever admit that in real-life! And NO-ONE knows!!

I pick the hard sore crusty bogies out my nose but I don't enjoy doing it.

I do pick the scabs off my head.
I have trichotillomania which means I have a compulsion to pull my hair out. I hate it.

You can get little tools that have a camera and a light on the end and a little scoop so you can have a real good poke around in there and dig the wax out. It links up to your phone via Bluetooth so you watch what you’re doing on there. Obviously be careful of your eardrum - the good thing is that you can see the eardrum so less likely you’ll do damage.

I hate the sensation of hard/ dry snot in my nose, or built up earwax in my ears. If nothing else works I will pick both. Also a bit of a compulsive nail biter.

When we used to spend a lot of time on the SW of the States the air was incredibly dry and I loved getting my 'cornflake' nose, really crunchy when blown out or manually excavated.

I've never peed in the shower.

But yes to nose.picking, scab picking, ear wax inspecting and spot squeezing.
