To think women aren’t really going to subscribe to only fans account

Bitchesbelike · 26/06/2023 15:42

A male friend has an only fans account.

this just got me thinking: as a straight woman, I have practically no interest in looking at naked or half naked men. It just doesn’t do anything for me at all.

is this the case for most straight women? Is it really only gay men who as interested in looking at naked men.

Not a chance I’d rather drool over my crushes in suits imagining is more fun. I wouldn’t fancy any of them anyway.

OF people are always claiming to be in the top whatever % and it's either lies or OF does some weird statistic gathering that somehow makes small creators appear really successful as a way to keep them hooked in...it's as much of a scam as anything online I think!

Could be, this chap has a finance channel and tries various 'get rich quick' schemes and discusses the outcomes so I don't think he's being dishonest about what OF are telling him, especially as mentioned, he really didn't make a lot of money considering 'Top 3%' and all. However I don't doubt that OF may be dishonest, its got real MLM vibes to it.

Maybe not paying or actively selling it out but if you get nothing out of seeing a naked man at all I’d begin to think you’re asexual perhaps. Nothing to do with orientation.

I definitely do not feel aroused, not even a tingle, looking at a half naked man, unless I know him and fancy him.

The idea of a random topless man provokes absolutely nothing. I'm not asexual.

DrSbaitso · 27/06/2023 10:33

Women are overall more likely to pay for romantic/erotic novels, whether they're straight, gay or bi. They're not such great consumers of visual erotic/pornographic content.

But not all. If he can find an audience willing to pay, good luck to him. It is mostly men looking for images and videos, though, whether of men or women.

BathoryCastle · 27/06/2023 10:39

WilkinsonM · 27/06/2023 09:11

Do you think most women in those audiences are actively sexually aroused? The way men usually are at a strip club? I doubt it. They are enjoying it visually and having a laugh but that's not the same thing.

I've been to strip show for womenand bloody hell I was scared for aome of the lads. Wild! 🙈

ChaToilLeam · 27/06/2023 10:45

I can’t see the attraction in pics of a random man prancing about in his undercrackers or less, no matter how fit he is. And there’s no way I would go and see a male strip show either - yuck!

TheoTheopolis23 · 27/06/2023 10:49

I think more women are visually stimulated than is the received wisdom

Absolutely.

It's a overly simplistic cliché.

Research had actually shown women respond to wider sexual imagery/video stimuli than men.

Draconis · 27/06/2023 10:54

I don't know. I don't mind seeing a semi clothed man but within a context.
Like, seeing a man you fancy anyway, stripping down to show off his torso, or a good looking chef doing the half naked cooking thing suggested by a pp.
basically, it's a bonus to an already stimulated vision/scenario.
It's rarely the prime objective for women to scroll through naked guys just for a sexual kick.

BrendaMcPherson · 27/06/2023 10:55

I have a couple of straight female friends who are huge fans of John Whaite (TV chef and Strictly contestant). When he briefly did OF, they did sign up although it was obviously aimed at gay men. He didn't do anything explicit (he did get his willy out but didn't do anything with it). He made a fair bit of money I think but didn't do it for long as he said it affected his MH quite badly, as subscribers would request seriously pornified content.

RudsyFarmer · 27/06/2023 10:55

I doubt it. His audience would be gay or bi men.

Actually that’s a point. If it were a celebrity male, say Harry Styles, who were prepared to do an OnlyFans account with all sort of erotic photos (I have no idea what’s even allowed in terms of nudity on there now). Then yep they’d definitely be a market for that.

Your average hot guy I’d say less so. There’s so many of those kind of images about, free of charge.

Beowulfa · 27/06/2023 11:09

I saw Magic Mike Live for a mate's 40th. It's basically an overpriced show with zero plot, loads of raunchy dancing and an audience of 98% women there in groups determined to have a fun night. No actual penis at any point, quite deliberately I thought, as that would really have changed the vibe. I actually thought the film was much more interesting, showing the seedy underside of stripping and how men can be exploited too.

I don't understand the concept of paying to see someone naked. I just use my imagination, any time, anywhere for free.

CoreyTaylorsSoggyTshirt · 27/06/2023 11:10

Tandora · 27/06/2023 09:58

The only straight women I know who subscribe to OF follow and subscribe to women's accounts

this is fascinating and reveals this isn’t about male vs female (hetero-) sexuality, but the gendered sexual objectification of women’s bodies, which just doesn’t happen the same way to men.

I hadn't actually thought of it like that before, but you're absolutely right.

Food for thought.

IBetGordonRamsayDoesntHaveTheseProblems · 27/06/2023 11:17

There must be a market for it, otherwise Magic Mike and the Chippendales wouldn't have been a commercial success.

DrSbaitso · 27/06/2023 12:10

Magic Mike etc are essentially novelty acts. They're great fun if you like it, they're sexy and the market certainly exists, but they do not have the same tone or service as a strip club for men. They don't get naked, you don't get paid-for private dances and while they get audience members on stage for a pre-planned, choreographed section, they're never truly trying to fool you about what they're feeling.

There also aren't anywhere near as many acts like that, as evidenced by the fact we all think of the same one or two names when looking for a female-oriented equivalent of the torrent of content and performance spaces for men.

I'm not saying women can't be turned on by seeing men. I respond to certain shirtless guys and sometimes to excellent dancing. But as a generalisation, women do need more context and characterisation in their fantasies.

We had them at work once
The women were all over them
Had to give a poor lad, who wasn't even performing, was just selling merch that day some tissue to wipe himself down after they'd been kissing and touching him (in a way that guys would absolutely be in trouble for doing to a female performer)

Male strip shows absolutely DO get naked and get their penis out.
Same as male strippers that can be hired for hen do etc, they get the women in their crotch and get in the women's face, simulate sexual acts...

Yeah. The security had to push some group back in the show I went to. Lots of attempts to touch! The lads were great. They prepared show really well.

TheoTheopolis23 · 27/06/2023 13:04

I think women are different to men in that respect. Men seem to be alot more visual and so can be turned on by looking at random naked women and thats often enough for them without actually knowing anything about her. I think women need alot more than that to be equally turned on. A combination of being physically attracted to the person but also being attracted to them AS a person

For relationships, maybe? Even then - ever see a hot guy single, regardless of his personality? Rarely.

In terms of fancying and lusting over a man ..... I wouldn't agree at all.

Women don't actually know anything about the personality of actors and male models and sports men they fancy & lust over, it's entirely looks and voice and demeanor.

One wrapped his dick around my arm.

Also had to stop him from rubbing me between the legs.

Magic Mike didn't get naked when I saw them.

Maybe that's why the tickets were cheap.

TheoTheopolis23 · 27/06/2023 13:13

You get TV shows and films aimed at women and young women.

They generally include one or more handsome guy; it's only about his looks/demeanor and his character in the show/film, women don't know anything about his personality, yet they fixate and lust over them eg True Blood (Alexander Skarsgard & Joe Manganiello, who spent most of it shirtless), greys anatomy (they kept their clothes on but the show was led by obviously good looking heart throb types like Patrick Dempsey & Eric thingy), Twilight - emo handsome guy Vs muscly handsome/cute guy (who again, spent most of it shirtless). What does any woman know about their personality - yet they're still fixating on them , fancying them, lusting over them, possibly fantasizing about them etc.

waterlego · 27/06/2023 13:17

I’m not turned on by just looking at a random naked man, no matter how attractive, and it’s not something I would ever seek out, let alone pay for. Would never go to see Magic Mike or male strippers; not my scene at all. I’d be turned on by seeing the naked body of a man I already fancied, but just seeing an attractive man in the buff wouldn’t suddenly make me want to sleep with him. There’s so much more to attraction for me, I think. Voice, humour, wit, connection. I like it when that connection and flirtation starts while the guy is still dressed! Then there is plenty left to the imagination and you get that slow-burn that builds and leads to explosive sex!

Maybe
They didn't all get naked. But there were definitely cocks out at times

Bitchesbelike · 28/06/2023 00:11

Haha.. I’m not gay. Maybe the tiniest bit bi: women are beautiful.

no. It’s just the idea of a man trying to be sexy and posing just ugh. Gives me the ick.

but, I find clothed men much hotter (Bruce Springsteens bum for example)
