Kebab is the best takeaway and IANBU

Fish and chips too heavy. Pizza so expensive compared to £6 fancy supermarket pizza. Indian I’d rather have in a restaurant. DH prefers Chinese but he is wrong.

Chinese from our local is the best.
Kebab from our local choppy a respectable second.
Agree, prefer Indian in a restaurant. Can never have ot as a takeaway anyway as I am the only one st home who will eat it (bloody fussy teens).

We don't have those as takeaway options round here, sadly.... otherwise I might agree!

You’re not wrong, OP. My local Turkish takeaway in London deliver an amazing, big grill platter for £20. DH likes doner and I like the taouk (pieces of lamb and chicken), so it works out well as we each get what we want. It comes with salad, chips, pita bread and garlic sauce. I eat the salad, DH has the chips and pitta. We fight over the sauce.

Kebabs are better at Turkish restaurants imo. My vote is def Chinese - nothing better than a platter of dimsum for takeaway

I dunno, I used to love the tray special from my local (sounds similar to yours) but since I've tried GDK there's no going back for me. I think their yoghurt sauce has crack in it.

I always think you can tell a good kebab place by it having garlic yogurt and not garlic mayo.

Yes definitely see also when they do their own proper chilli sauce.

Love a chicken shish with garlic sauce, chilli sauce, all the salad apart from those rank pickled chillies that no one likes, and chips. In a pitta.

Berlin Strasse with extra lemon is my gdk go to. With extra yogurt sauce, curry fries and the spring rolls.

Yes!!! I moved away a few years ago and your post just reminded me of how often I would pop in for a chicken shish wrap!!

Theres a world of difference between a poor quality doner from a crap kebab shop and a decent Turkish take away.

Donner meat grosses me out after a friend described it as eyebrows and arseholes.
I'm always iffy about ordering lamb after I watched a documentary where they dna tested loads of takeaways and none that said they were lamb actually were.

Kebabs are so much more than doner kebabs!
