The store is like wish so you'll probably get something as sharp as a marshmallow or something random like a size XXXXS pair of pants Grin

tillytoodles1 · 05/06/2023 15:51

That looks terrifying.

BelleMarionette · 05/06/2023 15:51

No, it's not!

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 05/06/2023 15:51

Nope. That'll be classed as an offensive weapon. Probably not even legal to have in your house (don't quote me on that tho), but definitely not legal to carry in public.

Iyiyiiii · 05/06/2023 15:56

in case anyone doesnt want to click on that cesspool of a site....

crabbyoldappletree · 05/06/2023 16:02

I'm just thinking of all the lawsuits following self injury, as I suspect the mechanism to flick the blade is shite, so as the wearer digs out wallet or phone the blade flicks out and one self stabbed bum or thigh ( depending on whether back or side pocket).

GulesMeansRed · 05/06/2023 16:08

Of course it's not. But given that Temu is a cheap Chinese website, little details like ethics and legalities don't bother them.

IBetGordonRamsayDoesntHaveTheseProblems · 05/06/2023 16:10

It won't be legal, it's probably illegal under the same legislation as flick knives.

TomatoSandwiches · 05/06/2023 16:12

More likely to hurt the person wearing it than anyone else, absolutely daft item.

2bazookas · 05/06/2023 16:41

Why not? The blade length is only half an inch. Its barely going to penetrate the clothing of a mad axeman.

Adults can legally carry a folding pocket knife with a blade length up to 3 inches. Useful for trimming pencils, fingernails, twigs etc.

The blade appears to be lockable. Doesnt matter what length the blade is then, the fact its locking makes it an offensive weapon.

And certainly long enough to burst an eyeball, or peirce the carotid artery.

Sorrynotsorry22 · 05/06/2023 17:27

Bloody hell, that's vile !

The blade can be opened; so can a legal pocket knife. That's legal.

Flip the ring switch to open the blade. Flip it again, and it closes.

No mention of locking or unlocking.

That was going to be my point - is it lockable or not?

D20 · 05/06/2023 17:43

Probably not but neither is my candle lighting ‘taser’ that is awesome.

Because it's a 'made offensive weapon', self defence or otherwise it only has one purpose, which makes it illegal in its own right. There are legitimate uses for a knife.

You'd be cool with that in your kids eye then?

ALLiDOisWIN · 05/06/2023 17:50

Anything you are planning to use a weapon is illegal.

It's not a knife. IANAL but it's probably classifiable as a kind of knuckle duster, which would be illegal. Plus also, the "designed as weapon" thing.

VitoCorleoneOfMNMafia · 05/06/2023 18:15

Interesting that they don't show it unfolded. It's almost like they don't want you to see that it's probably a small wedge-shaped point, not a blade...

backseatwatching · 05/06/2023 18:20

Well ive just ordered one lol not to use but i want to now how shit they are .

leopard22 · 05/06/2023 18:27

It's made to be a weapon so I would say it comes under the offensive weapon legislation rather than bladed article so yes, illegal.

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 05/06/2023 19:29

You have to slide the switch on the side to close it. The way its worded is that you slide the switch to open it, and then to close it. It certainly implies that the blade is locked in place until the switch slides it back.
