I just don't think I can be arsed

But the breakfast bowls are still hanging about, I've not loaded the dishwasher, pyjamas are scattered asunder, toys strewn willy and indeed nilly, and there is at least 2 weeks worth of clean washing on the dining room table

FIL is coming round tomorrow to do some odd jobs around the house (lovely man, he's been so helpful) involving drilling and painting/filling walls etc and dh will be a bit annoyed if the place is a tip for him

(should point out that dh is picking ds up from nursery on his way home, I went on a short shopping trip with my mum and have been lazing around on my ample buttocks since I got home at 2)

When DCs were small, the house was a pigsty from toys etc and I would do a quick pick up before DH came home. He is a real neat freak so it was essential.

I've done the spraying of furniture polish in each room, only polish the TV screen, disinfectant in the toilet cistern to clean on the flush, as it were, all worked like a treat

Now DCs are in school and I have got time to do the house, I follow FL and have routines (I am SO easily sidetracked), my timer is my lifeline and I have lists. If it's not written down it won't get done (I have the memory of a goldfish)

This week, I've played tennis 3 mornings, walked our dog every day, worked one morning and still done the house for us to go away this weekend, without FL and my lists I'd be totally lost....

wow is fl really that good?

VictorianSqualor · 22/02/2008 14:53

Hahahaha, lve it.
Every night when the DC's go to bed I spend a good hour tidying everything up so it's spotless for the morning whilst DP watches the box.
Then I'm quite good at breakfasttime, cos I make DP a smoothie and the DC's breakfast and wash up pretty much straight away, but lunch always seems to coincide with me not wanting to do anythng, so I have my half hour where I do the dishes from luncha nd go round picking up any crap the kids have deposited anywhere.
Having said that, just lately everytime DP gets home I seem to be in the bath

Oh meant to add DP is a clean freak, I guarantee when he gets home the house is perfectly tidy to me, but not to him, he always finds something to complain about.

victorian ~ yes, my DH is like that too. Although the house was done before we left for our weekend away, the bags were all packed in the hall ready to be loaded into the car, kids all set to leave, dog waiting patiently.

DH kindly pointed out that I hadn't managed to d/cl the garage like I said I would do 3 months ago.

He is still breathing ...... just
