Would you ever say a baby looks 'I'll' or 'washed out' in certain colours?

Would you say a baby looks unwell or washed out in certain colours? Depending on the babies hair colour ect?

MIL has a habit of telling me my baby looks unwell if in certain colours. I'm suffering really badly with PPA so it's really playing into that, I've tried to tell her to stop and that she doesn't but it goes over her head.

Sounds like she's worried about you both but not expressing it well.
I hope your MIL doesn't have your house key? I used to put a note on the front door "baby sleeping - do not disturb" and if someone knocked then I ignored it. Likewise, phone set straight through to voicemail when we were napping.

My ginger/pale DD really didn't suit yellow at all, looked very ill in it. Looked best in pink to my great annoyance though.

She has to wear yellow to school so I'm more used to the colour on her now but it's still not great.

DS is blond and quite pale but has very different skin tone and looks fine in yellows and other bright colours.

I'd not say it unasked but would agree if asked.

My baby looked washed out in navy

Ah, I'd forgotten that the midwife said my baby looked jaundiced. Luckily the health visitor was there to point out that he just didn't suit lemon yellow. The midwife strongly disagreed and he was to be kept an eye on, but was fine by the next day (in navy).
