Disabled parking bay outside my house?

About a year ago Next door neighbours got a disabled bay which directly outside my house. This is fine as the husband needed it due to various health issues. However the couple had a big bust up about 3 months ago and he has been gone ever since. He won’t be coming back. Parking space is still there and it’s just annoying me because the wife is still using it and it’s like it’s “her space” she is not entitled as doesn’t have a blue badge.

if someone else parks there she moves her car in as soon as they are gone. It’s very rare that anyone else park in it. We live on a busy road with limited parking and it’s starting to really annoy me when I drive home and the space is empty. I feel I can’t park there as it is a disabled bay! WIBU to ring the council and tell them he is no longer living there?

Definitely report it.

She may be taking the space from someone else on the road who needs it, as there may be a quota for how many disabled bays are allowed.

We have a white disabled bay outside our house for DH. People have been ticketed for parking there without a blue badge. It is not 'our' bay and anyone with a blue badge can park there.

I think some oil it varies borough to borough.

Cars in London are ticketed in on-street (white painted) disabled bays if no BB is displayed. If there is a kerb notice.

Whether non resident BB holders can park in residents bays depends on borough. Yes in Lambeth, no in Southwark, for example.
