To find the media’s portrayal of Kate, Wills and the kids a bit grating

Does anyone find it irritating how the media will take any tiny thing and spin it to fit the narrative of how they want the Wales family to be?

I mean here, William barely glances at Kate and it’s not even clear that he’s looking at her anyway. Yet the media are determined that it’s a “look of love”:

They also seem determined for the three children to fit into certain moulds too - George is the serious one, Charlotte is the confident one and Louis is the cheeky one.

My siblings and I had this when I was growing up and I really struggled with it. The more you’re told that you’re the shy one and your brother’s the confident one (for example) the more it becomes ingrained. And we were just an ordinary family, not in the spotlight - for the Waleses it’s magnified a billion times over!

Agreed !! If a certain other royal little boy behaved like that they'd be slated as being bad parents. George is my favourite I love his solemness.

He’s just a small kid….one you haven’t met….and you find him annoying and irritating? Seems an over reaction. What do you mean by the set of his mouth? He seems fairly well behaved for his age, gets a bit bored and fidgets a bit but hardly Bratislava. And no, I don’t fawn over him. I’m fairly neutral on the lot of them.

They are children. You see tiny snippets of their life that are chosen by the tabloids to suit their narrative.

‘The set of his mouth’?!

I haven’t seen any recent pics, don’t care for the royals and don’t really like other people’s kids much but this is a bit harsh! You can’t judge a young kid from some pics! I had really easy well-behaved kids but I am sure they would have found Royal engagements a challenge.

If you read my comment again, you will see there is nothing there that judges him. I admit, I haven’t taken to this child, but I simply remarked on the fact that when he is angry, he puts his mouth in a certain way and, rightly or wrongly, it really bothers me. He strikes me as a child who will be challenging later! However, it isn’t his fault, it’s how he has been brought up. A bit of favouritism there, I think! Mothers and their sons!

Charlotte does resemble Queen Elizabeth and also Lady Sarah Chatto, Princess Margaret’s daughter.

People don’t need to read the Mail to firm

Agree. It's bonkers, the media makes consumers fell like they know these people and actually we have no idea. The way they speak about Louis infuriates me, it's exactly the same as Harry growing up, the childish one, the one who can't fall in line with royal protocol, the joker. At the end of the day only they know their dynamic and what's going on, and frankly it's no one else's business anyway

Yesterdays words of wisdom, possibly from the body language expert, (gissa job I can do that) was that Louis is less mature than his brother and sister. He's 5, they are 8 and 9. Did we even see much of them at 5?:
