To say it goes downhill in your late thirties?

Almost 38 and over the past year or so noticed-
Thinning hair to the point where even my hairdresser asked why it was like that.
Some grey pubes.
A stomach that is starting to resemble a beer belly despite me being teetotal and eating sensibly.
A double chin. See the above.
Fine lines around the eyes.
Feel like my best days are over and there's no point in even trying to look good now. Aibu to say if anyone else noticed a real decline in their looks from late thirties?

Yeh definitely - for me 40ish BUT I decided to fight against it. Teeth, subtle tint, no sugars, intensive workouts, great haircut, nice watch, semi nice clothes. I see a lot of my friends give up and lose their confidence BUT you don’t have to. Use all those little things to make u feel great. Good luck

I've welcomed it! I always felt objectified by men in my teens, twenties and even early 30s. I'm invisible now at 40 and I bloody love it! I feel like I don't need to make the same effort either. I'm clean and tidy and that's about the height of it!

I think every decade, you have a year where you notice the passage of time.

My life started after 40. you just have to accept you are going to age and to have to make the most of it!

I was at my peak at 39, I worked out daily, careful with diet etc. I got married at 40 and started having kids - I certainly went downhill from there!

YABU! There's so much great stuff going on in life in your 30s, don't let your hair spoil your perspective of life.

No. I went on the antibiotic recommended, oxy something? for my wedding 14 years ago and that worked brilliantly. Didn't come back for a year after I stopped taking it.

Couldn't really be arsed doing anything again after that though. This Soolantra looks interesting, do you have to keep it up forever though? I'm far too lax with any kind of routine if that's needed for it to be effective!

I had oxytetracycline in my twenties and used it quite long term, but wish I hadn't. With Soolantra, I have stopped applying it in the past and after maybe a week, I can feel my skin start to revert back again, slowly, so that gives me the kick to carry on using it. It's a lovely soft easy to apply cream though which is easily absorbed. You only have to put it on once a day, a pea sized amount on each cheek/area that you need it. I only started on it a few weeks ago after a Google search for new treatments as I hadn't tried anything for a few years. Really glad I tried. No side affects at all and my skin is so, so much better.
