Waiting for tube this morning, I was looking at an ad, and couldn't help but wonder about the tattoo on the 'omio' advert. It looks, well, you tell me. I can read 'with intention' but what do the rest of the words say and is it a quote? What does it mean?

Is it a dick?!

It's a tattoo of an arm on his forearm? It's a weirdly composed ad - I don't know what the brown fabric is, or what he is doing.

I found this on Omio's instagram page. Same lad, but it doesn't answer the penis-holding-money question. In fact, I have even more questions now. What a weird ad campaign.

No idea but whatever it is is vile. I am so waiting for the tattoo fashion to disappear, it's been around for a good many years now and tattoos look horrible. It's so nice to see young people who have nice, clean looking skin.

I'll never understand why people are so bothered about what others choose to do with their own bodies. Why do you think people should look a certain way because YOU want them to?

You seem very defensive? I agree with the previous poster and dislike tattoos. I also dislike other things that come and go from fashion. Of course I am allowed an opinion on them.

Laughing at the anti-tat gang. Sorry to tell you but the current generation of teens are really into tattoos, DD will be getting one as soon as she legally can as will the majority of her friends. Hell I’ll even pay for her to get one just to piss off people that feel so strongly about it Grin

The full ad is a variation of the one posted by BadNomad above - so the poor lad is being dragged out of bed, which seems to be presented as a fun activity, although there is no explanation on the tube version, it's just a woman pulling him out of bed.

There are words on the tattoo but I can't make them out - the last few are 'use it with intention' so it could be a penis, although that would be weird, or is it a arm with a hand clutching toilet paper? A message about careful use of the planet's resources?
I think there is something else to the side but it is blurry.
I suppose I could tweet the company . . .

It doesn’t matter if they’re welcome or not, people are entitled to have opinions. Teens did awful things with their hair in the 80s - me included - there was nothing wrong with adults thinking we looked ridiculous. It’s not the same as criticising someone’s ethnicity or bone structure, over which they have no control. Simply stating that you think tattoos are ugly is a personal opinion. As far as I’m aware, such opinions are allowed, even on MN!

No one will be pissed off by seeing your daughter with a tattoo. They might feel a bit sorry for her poor judgement, depending on where and what the tattoo is. But they won’t be pissed off. So if that’s your aim you’re probably best saving your money (for when she wants it removing in 20 years time).

I probably look to have "clean skin" until I put a bikini on and then it reveals I'm heavily tattooed

Very naive - people really do get pissed off by tattoos. Not that it has any impact on them or their lives, but they do.
