To think these are chicken pox?

30 years old. My niece has had chicken pox recently who I frequently see. I haven't had them. Being feeling a little unwell the past few days, however, I'm training for a marathon so put it down to that.

However, today I've been feeling slightly itchy and now these spots have appeared. Just on my ankle, no where else.

Does this seem like chicken pox?

It's more likely to be flea bites on your ankle.

UmbilicusSuperficialis · 21/04/2023 22:08

Amazing! Looking forward to OP explaining her outburst but assume she will disappear now. Oh well

MissHoollie · 21/04/2023 22:09

Flea bites... Do you have a pet? If so they need treated

UmbilicusSuperficialis · 21/04/2023 22:10

Perhaps we assumed she has a ‘trunk’ but in fact she simply exists as an isolated ankle.

Beginningless · 21/04/2023 22:10

None of you are qualified to make such assumptions. Thank you.

Hilarious! Only people who think it is CP need reply. Anyone?

recklessgran · 21/04/2023 22:11

I'm a medic. Not CP - too small and too red - will that do OP?

Paperexcelandpens · 21/04/2023 22:13

Wow, why such an aggressive response op? People have kindly given their time to answer your question and you respond like that?

A34 · 21/04/2023 22:15

They look exactly like the flea bites I had last year. Flea bites are very itchy and generally on ankles.

Nor are you qualified to ask 😁

id recommend you get the chicken pox vaccine from boots or Superdrug. I believe you can have it even after exposed. Chicken pox at 30 is going to be miserable.

eatdrinkandbemerry · 21/04/2023 22:28

I was going to tell you they look like flea bites but I'm not qualified to disclose that information 🤷‍♀️

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 21/04/2023 22:29

That looks like a wee bite to me

Wow Confused

I really want op to return. That's one of the most unhinged replies I've ever seen.

Why ask?

Unhinged? Purely stating facts. No one is qualified to say with absolute certainty that those are not chicken pox. I think they are.

So why ask on here OP ? What did you want from posting ? I’m a HCP and they certainly do not look like CP. if you’re that concerned speak to a pharmacist and don’t post on a forum where you won’t be happy with the ‘unqualified’ answers !!

your responses are just so bizarre, when it was you that originally posted, it’s not like they were unsolicited responses !

Ok then why bother asking. You think you have chicken pox. If you don't care what any one else things then what is it you want?

U2HasTheEdge · 22/04/2023 11:26

Flea bites. Or just an itchy spot. Nothing like CP.

Mammyloveswine · 22/04/2023 11:29

Ahahaha definitely NOT chicken pox op!

Chicken pox is really easy to spot (excuse the pun) and those are clearly just insect bites.

How have you got to 30 and be unable to recognise an insect bite?!

dementedpixie · 22/04/2023 11:29

Have any more appeared?
Doesn't look like chicken pox in my entirely unprofessional opinion.

properdoughnut · 22/04/2023 11:30

Yes it's chicken pox is that what you want?

dementedpixie · 22/04/2023 11:31

If you think it's chicken pox you'd better stay away from everyone until they scab over which is normally within 5-7 days

No idea why you have asked as you have been spectacularly rude in your subsequent posts.

Pox isn't plural. HTH.
