to throw baby's clothes away if soiled?

Putting in the washing machine seems gross!! DH says most people wash anything a baby has used but I can’t think this would come out clean?! We have an eco friendly machine that doesn’t go higher than 60 degrees and below 90 just makes me even more nervous about it.

Jesus. Just when I thought I'd read it all on MN

No OP, just wash the clothes. Stains don't necessarily = bacteria.

You cannot seriously be considering throwing out clothes when they get sick or poo on them? Surely? Really though?

I always washed cloth nappies (covered in poo and wee of course) at 40 (most of the time) or 60. You don’t need 90. There are millions of people across the world using cloth nappies happily and hygienically so of course you can wash a soiled vest…!

My husband throws out clothes with poo on them. 😬 I try to stain remove poo and food but in all honesty, stains don't always come out. I've tried elbow grease, vanish, hand washing beforehand etc. Vests, babygrows and white t-shirts with stains tend to end up being binned.

You don't need to bin clothes just because they are stained - especially not baby vests that they could very easily poop on again. They have been washed & are clean and perfectly wearable.
Of course you wouldn't want them visiting grandparents or at a wedding / party in stained clothes, but if they are just hanging around the house those clothes are perfectly fine.
