Was I unreasonable at the garage air machine

Waited behind someone using air machine for tyres. Someone else then pulled in and waited then behind me.
Guy using the air took as long as possible, slowly replacing caps etc. Then he just sat there. I jestured could he move on there's a queue. Assumed he was just looking at phone. He didn't move.

So I pulled up close behind him and proceed to machine. Then he tells me his money hasn't run out yet so I can't use it. So he's sitting there until the time is up. I honestly thought what knob head does this. I sarcastically offered to pay for his air. His money ran out and he drove off swearing at me, but only once he was some distance away as I think he was actually a right coward..
The family behind were laughing at him.
I did my tyres, left some credit for the family behind and was on my way.

Do you wait for your air money to run out?

Useful tip most cars that have that silicone puncture repair kit in the boot have a pump with it.

Gesturing at people can come across as aggressive. If you gestured to me I would sit there extra long just to piss you off.

He also doesn't let people filter in filter lanes and stops on double yellows on narrow streets and doesn't care a shit about anyone else

Sitting for the ms one to run out could come across as you being a selfish cunt, so I would then gesture.

@wtfisgoingonhere21 I was talking to dh earlier about how I'd not often encountered the behaviour of the prick the subject of this post. I compared it to another event where I tried to pull out of my street and a man refused to let me merge. So I was stuck in the road and he blocked me totally leaving a huge gap just to be difficult and aggressive. I was so shocked that anyone could could be such a knob I struggled to think of a name for it. Not entitled as such, just unkind and confrontational. Same as today. I don't often encounter people like it.

Sorry about your fil.. fortunately, most people are mostly kind.
On the rest of our day out today I was so extra grateful for people giving way etc. I was almost surprised everyone someone was nice.

Either I'm very slow or my local air machine is very expensive but I don't have time left and the first time I did it I had to pay twice. I now prepare by taking all the caps off before I put the money in and put the caps back on after the money runs out.

Blimey! I run around like a F1 pit crew to get all my tyres pumped up before the money runs out and am just relieved to get it done. If someone else is waiting for the air, I'll move forward before I put the dust caps back on. It wouldn't enter my head to deny them a few pence of "my" air.

Hahaha, me too. I always feel euphoric at getting it done under time (have never run out of time) and then can't get away fast enough.

I hate these machines so much. Best thing I have bought for my car recently was my own portable tyre inflator from Halfords. No more queuing/knobheads!

You know what I find funny(totally missing the point of the thread btw) ... I've just noticed how many penis references we use for idiots like this. Dick | Bellend | Knob | Wanker etc. One PP actually referred to him as 'an absolute penis' 😅 ... no one refers to an idiot as an absolute vagina? Funny that!

My tyres all need quite a bit of inflation and sometimes I have to adjust the hose so I rarely have time left.

However, when on the rare occasions I have good tyres, I move car quickly and offer the remaining time to the person behind, and it’s always happily received.
