According to media/society everybody in their 20s is effortlessly beautiful and walks around with an undeniable glow, men constantly staring at them wherever they go.
I really dislike how only youth is supposed to equate to beauty and how society worships it so much.
I was looking at pictures of myself in my 20s this morning and I look like a football, my face is unbelievably round. You don't notice it until you look back at old pictures, now in my 30s my face has lost this subcutaneous fat and it looks a lot slimmer. I also had very severe chin acne in my 20s which has now cleared, I've had braces too.
Is anyone else feeling that they look better with age as opposed to the opposite?

Me, I’m now 40’s and feel the most attractive I’ve ever felt and I think look way better than I did when I was younger, but I didn’t love myself back then or have any confidence without alcohol

I look a million times better in my 30s than I did on my 20s.

I work out, I have more sleep (had my children young), I have less money worries, more time to spend on my appearance now the children are more independent.

I also had major face surgery and braces which helped massively of course but the other things contribute a lot.

30s is not old. I think I looked best from about 30-38. I wasn’t particularly healthy in my 20s - I ate shit and drank loads. I could get away with it because I was slim and young but I’m not sure I looked healthy - I definitely had to wear more makeup to cover dark circles than I do now at 47.

30s I was healthier - lost that fat you have on your face in your teens and 20s so cheekbones looked better but hadn’t started with any sag or wrinkles yet. I did used to look younger than my age but that all
stopped mid 40s.

I See People i was at school with on social media- not the highly filtered/posed shots, just normal ones- and the vast majority look better now. Some stereotypically pretty slim girls perhaps haven't aged as well, but many, many of us who may have been less attractive then, now look better!

Much better!

Yes the pretty ones peaked in their teens and the awkward, gawky ones with features too big for their face blossomed much later and will age better.
