I've been thinking about the typical Mumsnet poster and I'm thinking it would typically be the mum in the 'Outnumbered' family -

Middle class

Living in London

Living in traditional house as opposed to on an estate

Working class.

Live nowhere near London.

Live in a rented ex-council semi detached.

🤷🏻‍♀️

Same, I'm not even English !

BreakfastChoices2 · 29/03/2023 10:11

Working class

Currently 6000 miles away from London & it's 30+ degrees hot !

I’ve recently had to move after a family falling out. My husband has taken up a new career as a journalist, whilst I mainly do charity work, and we spend a lot of our time looking down our noses at people. I’d say I’m fairly typical.

No, it's Amanda from Motherland. She epitomises Mumsnet.
Amongst a sea of Amandas I just feel like Jill (the Irish one?)

I think one of its strengths is a very wide demographic, broad political views and far reaching experiences. I've learnt a lot on here from various threads going into areas of life I knew nothing about . Why do you think the Tory PRs ( and I'm sure there are some, as well as possibly other party PRS) are keen on infiltrating - it has such a broad reach that very few other sites have.

DEfinitely too much time on their hands!!😂

CandyLeBonBon · 29/03/2023 12:45

What even is 'middle class' these days?

I'd probably say I'm upper working class. Average salary, single parent, live in a shared ownership new build.

Make of that what you will!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/03/2023 12:48

Most of us living in London? Really?

Hellsmovie · 29/03/2023 12:56

Not middle class
Dont live in london
Live on one of the biggest housing estates in Europe

TrudyProud · 29/03/2023 14:12

Technically I'm 3 for 3 . However, when you mention the outnumbered mum I presume there is a silent white ... and I'm not
