For example, I had a few pounds spare in the food budget this week, so I sprung for the £1.20 lasagne sheets as opposed to the 90p ones. I know things are tough but what little things do you buy yourself to cheer you up a bit?

Vegan Ben and Jerrys when it’s on offer! And when it’s not on offer 🤣🤣

Flowers, always flowers. I hate it when there aren’t any in the house.

A cheeky Starbucks, no it’s not worth the price but once in a blue moon it makes me feel fancy 😂

Anjo2011 · 27/03/2023 18:46

Flowers. I love having a fresh vase full as often as I can afford it.

Some of the replies are not little things to me!

  • Lavazza coffee for the percolator rather than own brand
  • Ben and Jerry's ice cream
  • sourdough bread (usually still Lidl though rather than £5-a-loaf artisan stuff)
  • fresh raspberries and strawberries

Ah yes flowers definitely and nice bread.

Getting my nails done every few weeks- just manicure & polish. Zero ability to do it myself!

Nightalker, what do you mean by treating yourself to prescription medication? Are you not able to afford medication usually or are you abusing something prescribed for highs and kicks?🤨
