I absolutely adore my living room, I think it's so cosy, feels like a Novembers night.

I love cosy vibes, can you show me yours please?

The great indoors podcast Facebook group is a great place to share home pictures and is really positive friendly vibes.
I love it, definitely feels cosy to me! I like the mirror and the fairy lights too.

Fairislefandango · 24/03/2023 22:33

God how horrible. She didn’t ask for your opinion.

Confused Voluntarily posting your decor for posters to look at on a big forum and asking for their opinion about whether you are unreasonable to think it looks a certain way. This is not asking for people's opinion?!

It's March. Springtime. Why would you want it to feel like a November evening?

Maybe November is her favourite month or she likes warm cosy feelings at home even in the summer
I find grey calming, other people think it's cold
Everyone is different
Plus you can't really start redecorating for every season! "Sorry it's June, that teal has to go"

Fairyliz · 24/03/2023 22:42

Don’t you draw your curtains when it’s dark? What if there is a serial killer outside looking for his next victims?
Sorry but I have to close my curtains as soon as it’s dark to feel cosy.

PrancerandDancer · 24/03/2023 22:47

Autumn is my favourite season too.

I try and get those cosy Hygge vibes all year round.

I love the teal 🥰

Luredbyapomegranate · 24/03/2023 22:47

But OP, it’s spring!!!! (Nearly)

I am all for a November vibe, but you know.. in November.

Gladysrocker · 24/03/2023 22:50

My cosy.

I like your colour combinations. I think they do all come together to look cosy. Looks like a nice place to sit.

My living room is very cosy. Darkish green walls and curtains, with a lot of aged wood, natural materials, and copper accents with little flashes of red and orange. Yes I sound lame but I love my living room.

Amipreg1 · 24/03/2023 22:51

Not my style but it's lovely, I can see why it would feel cosy.
This is mine 🙂

what is with the influx of twats on this post?!

i could have a great comfy nap there OP, looks relaxing as heck

Sugarfish · 24/03/2023 22:56

I think it’s lovely op, if anything I’d add more fairy lights!

KeeperSweeper · 24/03/2023 23:05

It is interesting how different people interpret the idea of a cosy room.

To me it implies kind of cluttered, lots of different fabrics and colours, lived in, candles, ornaments and books etc, lamps/soft lighting.

I think the variety of colour in OPs post are the cosy bit along with the lighting.

Rebel2 · 24/03/2023 23:10

@Gladysrocker I love the fireplace, it's gorgeous

I hate cosy and winter to be honest. Glad you love it though, everyone should love their home and many don't.

Same here, and I agree that everyone whould be happy with their home.

I have poor eyesight and would find the room too dark and claustrophobic

I prefer light and airy every time.

RestingMurderousFace · 24/03/2023 23:20

Love the rich colours, OP. Wish I was brave enough to commit to something like that.

LiliansViewScarborough · 24/03/2023 23:21

Love the colours and lighting. Here's our cosy lounge.

I love it, beautiful colors that go well together, so pretty and cosy!

WinterCarlisle · 24/03/2023 23:24

I love it OP! Looks really cosy. I love the colours

mac1974 · 24/03/2023 23:26

Looks great. Needs more blankets though. We have blooming loads! Love a blanket for maximum coziness!

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 24/03/2023 23:28

It's lovely when you get exactly what you were aiming for in room decorating, isn't it? I always doubt myself at the last minute and go for a lighter colour / smaller thing / less ornate doodad. Then it annoys me for evermore.

Once I got it perfect, a really lovely warm green, dark, but not too dark. Matched and toned perfectly with everything else. It looked so good, I was delighted. Made me happy every time I looked at it.

About a week after I painted it there was a news article about new cigarette packets (when they stopped being allowed branding), and how they'd done studies and found the most unpleasant colour possible, that all cigarette packets would have to be. And it was my green! The most unpleasant colour known to science 😂Still loved it!

Ofcourseshecan · 24/03/2023 23:28

It's raining in a very wintry way here at the moment. These these cosy pictures are reminding me of what I love in winter: snuggled up on the sofa with a hot drink, listening to rain on the windows. Mmmm

AppallinglyReheated · 24/03/2023 23:29

OOOOh, what colour is the dark teal/greeny etc, what does that look like in natural light?

Not keen on the pink with it, but love the dark and the sofa and the lights.

Not showing mine, its a horrible mishmash of stuff my sister did when this was her house, rammed with too much stuff that I have made or collected. I like dark and snuggly and cosy though (but I work in here and need light).

TeenLifeMum · 24/03/2023 23:29

just realised we rarely pull our curtains. The living room overlooks our garden and I like seeing the rain or stars. Not sure my living room is cosy but I do love it.

OoooohMatron · 24/03/2023 23:30

I remember you OP! It looks great. Your home should make you happy, fuck what's trendy or if anyone else likes it. Enjoy x

grumpycow1 · 24/03/2023 23:32

I love the colours but what’s with the mirror? That would be making me itch 😂 would look lovely with some pictures on the blank wall.
