I'm currently reading Shrines of Gaiety by Kate Atkinson and really enjoying it.

I second Still Life by Sarah Winman - beautifully written book and just gorgeous.

All of Maggie O Farrell's books I have read I have loved. Marriage portrait is my next read and has great reviews.

Emily St John Mandel, but in particular the Glass Hotel or the Singer's Gun.

Best books I read last year.

Anything by Khaled Hosseini. As far as I know he's only written three books but all are amazing. Most well know one would be The Kite Runner. Honestly you won't regret it.

Anything by Lisa Jewell. Her books are compulsive reading. I also like Gillian McAllister.

Couldn't agree more re Lisa Jewell

IggyAce · 24/03/2023 22:16

A Flicker in the Dark by Stacy Willingham. I’ve also enjoyed all of Ruth Ware’s books.

A little life @Coldilox ?? I tried really hard with it and normally I love misery porn books! I mean, grapes of wrath is my favourite. A little life though - sheesh 😂

It’s bloody dark but it’s one of my favourite books of all time.

Dream daughter by Diana Chamberlain. Blink by KL Slater
The serial killers wife by Alice Hunter! Loved them all

charliegirl86 · 24/03/2023 23:53

DontEatThePlaydoh · 24/03/2023 14:22

Two recent reads that I've found enjoyable.

I'm gonna look for these on audible! If you like these types, try the Serial Killers wife by Alice Hunter. And Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain. KL Slater has a few good ones too. Seem like a similar genre
