I don’t know if I do? I want to, I lost my dad (he was young relatively speaking) and never ever seeing him again is a painful thought, we only had 30 years (we never have enough time though so we) but I don’t know if i actually believe in one, specifically in the theistic sense.

do you believe in one ? What do you believe?

There’s a lot of fascinating literature on how professional mediums use suggestion techniques and elimination processes to elicit hitherto ‘unknowable’ information. It’s a great skill.

Derren Brown writes about the techniques and it's fascinating, really sheds lights on how all the fraudsters manage it.

There are so many shysters that exploit people's belief or need to believe in an afterlife. That's awful. Clearly they're making stuff up.

But - there's no way to prove or disprove the genuine presence of an afterlife - so I can't form an opinion on it one way or another. If someone believes and it comforts them, I'm certainly not going to get in their way.
