To say I am not culpable, as all my lies were accidental

Nimbostratus100 · 21/03/2023 15:44

and I just said what I was instructed to say - it isn't my fault if the things I was instructed to say were untrue, is it. I can't be expected to understand what is legal or illegal, it is too complicated. And anyway, I don't even think it matters.

Are these Morrissey lyrics

MaryDerry · 21/03/2023 17:22

Does this mean your bestie Dominic is going to be unleashed again. Because he made you do everything didn't he?

Yer' weak willed lying floppy haired fucker

TooBigForMyBoots · 21/03/2023 17:22

More like Shaggy's: It Wasn't Me.Grin

The thing I don't get is this. If the repeated lying is not in dispute but the defense is that it was neither intentional nor reckless, what other options can there possibly be? He just can't help himself? Probably not far from the truth.

An Accident!

It happens to men all the time. Lying, cheating.... its all an accident.

oops, i opened my mouth and a lie fell out = accident

Oops, i tripped over and my cock got stuck in a woman who is not my wife = accident

Oops, I was googling tractors at work and porn appeared on my screen = accident.

Im telling you, it's a pandemic

God I hate this new trend of posting cryptically as a famous person. MM, Harry, Wills, Boris.

Can we please ban them like we do reverses.

what are reverses?

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 21/03/2023 17:24

Oh Boris you scamp. You loveable rogue. 🙄

Nadsx · 21/03/2023 17:24

Darling one, the whole thing is awful. You are completely innocent. Come round to mine for a drinkie. I'll do anything I can to shag help you.

cafenoirbiscuit · 21/03/2023 17:30

Yeah but no but yeah but no

ireallycantthinkofaname · 21/03/2023 17:23

what are reverses?

Often mentioned, in my experience rarely actually seen. Something like this:

OP: AIBU? I let my 5yo sit up all night gaming, I let him eat as much Haribo and drink as much Coke as he likes, and I don't make him brush his teeth..
Posters query this and it turns out OP is describing her ex's behaviour, not her own, i.e. reversing roles.

BlueHeelers · 21/03/2023 17:32

It's perfectly understandable, and I'll cover up for you.

Rosula · 21/03/2023 17:35

But you kept turning up on TV telling us what to do and explaining it all to us. If you didn't understand what you were reading out, why didn't you ask that nice Chris Whitty? We all seemed to be able to understand it, after all.

Pestispeeved · 21/03/2023 17:35

I did get a leaflet through my door today, from the local Tory MP.
Advice and Support in the local area. Two pages of useful information about help available and helplines, not a single mention of being a Conservative. I've never seen disassociation like it.

Kedece2410 · 21/03/2023 17:37

Oh another hilarious pretending to be someone else thread. How original & witty 🙄

Rosula · 21/03/2023 17:40

Is it true that, when a photo was taken of you dancing in a conga line, you were actually working, not partying, because you were multi-tasking by having a high-level discussion with Angela Merkel using those headphones you were wearing? I'm sure she was delighted.

You mean it is not really my darling blue eyed dyed blond boy?

How dare you OP. Impersonating a true hero, the greatest (and most handsomest) PM of the modern age. Are you a Russian bot?

DrivingAllDay · 21/03/2023 16:03

OP, I'm sure you think you are being witty and clever but it's coming across as though you are drunk

It's possible to be drunk AND witty!

Getting bit tedious with boris threads

It isn't the Boris threads that are tedious.

It is Boris's constant lying and explanations of why the rules shouldn't apply to him that are tedious.

I'm not bored, and no-one's making you post on this thread.

TooBigForMyBoots · 21/03/2023 18:23

Anyway it's really not your fault OP, it's all down to the voters who elect the type of guys they wouldn't their kids with.

slashlover · 21/03/2023 18:39

I hate these types of posts where someone posts something vague as if they're from someone in the news and we're all supposed to know what they're about. It's a bit pathetic.

Why not post at the top that it's some sort of nonsense rather than have people scrolling through multiple messages before realising. Grow up.

Iwantmyoldnameback · 21/03/2023 18:41

Anyway Sue Grey supports Liebor so it's all her fault. And I got Brexit done and personally gave the nation the COVID vaccine and it was ages ago and time to move on because everyone broke the rules and had parties.

I was pretty sure what it was from the title. At least it's more informative than someone who simply entitles their thread "AIBU" then people have to wade through it to get any idea what it might be about.

SageRosemary · 21/03/2023 19:36

Boris/Andrew - in the words of a very wise woman please note that: -

"No lie is lawful, no motive can excuse a lie, because, a lie is ALWAYS sinful no matter what the reason for telling it."

Feck the imaginary unwritten Constitution, a gentleman, with or without a title, may be judged on the truth of the words he speaks and the morality of his actions.

"A gentleman models civility in how he treats others. He demonstrates respect, restraint, and personal responsibility in all his interactions. He is honorable, and values and respects others. A gentleman is well-mannered and knows what is appropriate."

I'm sure that most people must have realised instantly what it was about - it was pretty obvious.

I get that you might not make the connection if you don't keep up with the news in any way, but I think most people probably have at least some idea of what's going on!

ireallycantthinkofaname · 21/03/2023 20:43

bored in bed I suppose OP?
