To worry I’ve let my mum down (Mother’s Day related)

I didn’t send my mum a card in time for Mother’s Day, so I emailed her a £25 M&S voucher this morning instead.

In my defense I’ve had a lot on my mind recently with work (a contract is ending soon and I’m struggling to find a new job). My mum isn’t aware of this.

If you were my mum would you be disappointed not to get a card? I’m worried I’ve let her down.

I've had nothing at all from my two. Feeling disappointed.

Cards are important to my Mum and she would be disappointed. In fact unbelievably my card hasn't arrived and he message tone suggests disappointment. It is very annoying as my Dads birthday was yesterday, I posted them at the same time and his card arrived yesterday! They are divorced so it is not as bad as it sounds i.e card for him but none for her. My parents both get disappointed about cards though. My Dad remarked on my DBs lack of card but db is taking him out to the theatre and a meal for his birthday, I would imagine he just didn't post it. DH's Mum likes cards as well. My 11 year old DD is a a good artist and painted a canvass for me and designed a card. My 16 year old DS bought me a card and actually wrote to the best Mum ever. I'm unsure of that is because last year he forgot.

Not at all-anyone who cares about a card is pretty shallow

Not sure why you sent her a £25 voucher though
Surely phone call would have done?
