To like package holidays where the evening entertainment is a bit 'Phoenix Nights?'

You know - fancy dress competitions for the children, Bingo, drag acts, etc etc.

You know with the type of dance floors you see on clips of 'You've Been Framed' of people slipping over there on?

Alicante anyone?

Each to their own.

Oooh fab thread. Many years ago, me and my then partner did a mini tour of Europe, watching the England Lionesses (long before they were famous).

The holiday finished with three days in Benidorm. We schlepped everywhere, trying to find where Pete Loaf was playing 🤣 Unfortunately Pete was on his own hols back in the UK 😳

Still, there was an Abba tribute act of course..Greasy breakfasts for next to nowt and Phoenix Nights type entertainment. Happy days.

I'm doing it again when the sporting season is over and I can eat shit for a little while 😍😍

Not for me, but great if you enjoy it.
Surprised that you say Alicante though. I have recently spent a few months there and found it to be a really cosmopolitan, cool city full of great food and culture…not at all Phoenix Nights.

Ah I used Alicante wrongly then - I've never actually been there! Maybe something more obviously Phoenix Nights like Benidorm ! I'm just a sucker for the Phoenix Nights element !
