Just reading this article:

pagesix.com/2023/03/13/rachel-bilson-didnt-orgasm-from-sex-until-she-was-38/

Cummings noted that she hears “a lot of women say they don’t [orgasm from penetrative sex] until after they have a kid’

I have never heard this before, AIBU to wonder if it’s nonsense?

YABU - yes, having a kid creates this ability

YANBU - some women can orgasm from penetrative sex, most don’t, having a child makes no difference either way

Cummings GrinGrin

I orgasmed every time before I had children and every time after I had my children. All vaginal births.

I do find sex more intense and pleasurable and slightly different now, in a good way.

My orgasms improved after having after baby! Was a pleasant surprise

Same here!

Always managed before birth, but they got easier to achieve and more intense after birth. Mother Nature recognising that speed is of the essence with toddlers.

No comment on the original post from new, but it is funny how different names take on different meanings. Teen can be very cruel on nicknames. Luckily I have a very vanilla name.

I don't know, but I wonder if hormonal changes might account for it. I experience that myself to some degree, but I connected it to age rather than having a baby. But certainly after my third, when I went back to my natural cycles, my libido was far higher than it had been.

Given that pregnancy, gestation through post-birth, is such an incredible event there are certainly likely to be before/after differences. But not sure about that one.

VisionSystem · 18/03/2023 09:43

I don't really the "big deal" about having an O with a PIV.

I'd assume that everyone can orgasm with a PIV, you just might need to do be doing something else at the same time. At least that how it works for me.

Or maybe I'm missing something?

Perfect28 · 18/03/2023 10:16

I think the number of women who can orgasm through this kind of sex alone are a very very tiny minority and focussing on those is like focussing discourse around male orgasm on the 0.3% of men who can orgasm from having their thighs tickled (statistic entirely concocted).

ArcticSkewer · 18/03/2023 10:21

Opposite effect for me. Maybe things shifted slightly, who knows.
Tbh as well, who cares. They were always my least intense orgasms. Much prefer oral.
