I think they should have put a nice table and chairs with vase of flowers next to all the equipment, that would have been amusing.

It will sell for an awful lot more than £275,000 - that's just the auction guide price. There's no need for the sellers to spend any money on getting it ready for sale (no decluttering and vases of flowers here!) because it is guaranteed to sell and so the buyer can pay for clearing it out.

This!

coffeestrongblacknosugar · 08/03/2023 09:18

It will take a bit more than some febreeze to get rid of the stink of weed.

But still quite cheap - if you have that money to spend in London.

Who would you sell it to?

Bizarrely, it is perfectly legal to buy and sell all of the equipment.
Some of the acoustic fans do have legitimate uses in workshops, etc.
Tenants turned a house I let into a fairly large scale cannabis farm ( 200+ plants, 8 van loads of items seized), I gave away lights and a lot of fertiliser, etc until I realised it cost £90 a bottle, and the lights over £500, back in 2015.
I sold via EBay.

HotSauceNow · 08/03/2023 09:27

That is funny. TBH though I do think is is actually fairer to potential buyers that they are clear on what they are getting. If they had cleared it out, febreezed the shit out of it then it may never occur to you to check they haven’t bypassed the electrics for example, or consider there is a risk of associates of the growers swinging by.

@annemac101 where are you seeing the corridor? I can only see photos of rooms and I can't find a layout plan

Have a watch if the video, it may just be the camera perspectives but it only looks about 2 foot wide !

It looks like there is a weird anaconda coming out of the wall too.

ScottBakula · 08/03/2023 09:47

In the last few seconds of the video they open the door to a outside set of looonnng stairs, I wonder if any of the land / garden belongs to the flat

ShepherdMoons · 08/03/2023 09:49

It will probably take a few years to get rid of the smell of cannabis!!

Nothing would surprise me with property prices these days. An investor will probably buy it, do it up and sell it on at a higher price. Even above the vape shop there will be a buyer.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/03/2023 10:05

It's the planning permission for two more flats (with probable rental income) that'll have done it - an obvious opportunity for an investor

That's a fairly expensive area in London. Once it's done up they'll make that money back (and more) when they rent it out or sell it on. London is loopy when it comes to property.

A few years ago I bought in an area of London that nobody knew would be up and coming. A builder friend told me I was sitting on a goldmine, because if you live in an area where people are doing a lot of renovation you know the property is one day going to be worth a bomb. He was right.

Cranarc · 08/03/2023 10:21

It amuses me far too much that it is above a vape shop

Oddsocks55 · 08/03/2023 10:29

I like this

Sorry, pressed post too soon. I like this disclaimer in the zoopla listing 😁

Feelinglikeihadaboringnight · 09/03/2023 02:15

Lots of posters wanting to get rid of the smell of cannabis🤫I could live with that. It might even help with making renovations more enjoyable.

But seriously folks…I’d be much more concerned about damp after it’s been used to grow cannabis.

sashh · 09/03/2023 03:56

I used to live on Ballards lane. I didn't grow drugs though.

stayathomer · 09/03/2023 05:53

We used to rent a house with a similar bathroom. When we had children over we’d have to be supportive to get them to go in because it was so claustrophobic. I can almost feel it just looking at that picture! Crazy stuff about the weed, but as someone cleverly said, it will get more views this way!!
