Cheapskates on Vinted

I'm having a (quite protracted) clear out and have been listing stuff on Vinted.

I listed a pair of brand new unworn leather slides, which I bought from Marks and Spencer for £39.50, for £10.

I've had lots of favourites and four people asking if I'd sell for £6. It's already a bloody bargain!

I have stopped buying from Vinted, everything was sent using Evri and always took over a week to arrive and the last item, a ring, I waited 3 weeks for but it mysteriously got lost by Evri, took me ages and constant messaging to Vinted but eventually got a refund.

I just ignore any people who try and argue their case for trying to get it cheaper and decline offers I don’t want to accept.

once I listed a brand new jumper which cost over £100 new for £50. Someone messaged me to say that it was £40 in the sale so that’s all they were going to offer me. Errr.. yes but it was sold out! So either pay me £50 or don’t have the jumper.

If you get lots of likes and offers early on it usually sells for full price within a few weeks

I always offer less - why not? For something that's £10 I'd probably offer £8 (exception being if it's a complete bargain and has been listed in the last few hours, in which case I'll pay full price to grab it first). If you want more, list it for more. Bear in mind people are often paying £3-£4 in postage and 'insurance', so even cheap items add up.

You can decline (or just ignore) offers that are too low. If you can't make enough money to make it worth your time, take it to the charity shop instead.

Yabu
You chose to sell with vinted. Vinted allow offers - its part of their MO. If you don't like it, sell elsewhere
I don't understand why people get so personally offended - it's a pair of mass produced high street shoes not your granny's wedding ring. You don't even have to respond to the offers so it hardly takes time out of your day -turn off notifications if it annoys you so much.

I have an item on Vinted, 1/4 of the price of what I paid for it. I’m asking for £20. I’ve had over 36 messages. The latest email was I should not be selling it for a profit-I’m not! Then go on to say that educational items really should be free? He got arsey when I said don’t be ridiculous and I didn’t understand why waste the time to send me a message that he should move on.

What a knob . Block him

I saw some sandals on Vinted that I'd been searching every country's website to try and get but they've been discontinued everywhere. Finally found a pair on Vinted, brand new with box, still labelled and they were listed at £60, I offered £40 as they'd been up for 6 months...seller accepted straightaway.

You don't have to accept offers, depends on how quickly you want rid though
