In 5 years , if your life was exactly the same as it is now , would you be happy , content or sad?

Content for myself

I’d be beyond sad. I’d still have no life and pretty much know if it hasn’t got better it’s probably not going to.

Thankful!

Bit of both. Happy because my daughter is doing great and my work is good. Sad for lots of other reasons. Suspect it will be overall worse if I'm honest, and the last year has been the worst yet

Really sad. The last 5 years have been extremely difficult for me. I couldn't take another 5 years of it.

Absolutely happy.

I've had some tough times but the last few years have been the happiest I've ever been. Not that everything is easy but just feel in a good place. Although another 5 years of dealing with teen dds eye rolls and general teenagerness may have taken its toll by then

Happy. Living in a lovely house in a great place, happy with my job, just completed our family with baby #3 and relationship with dh is going well. Friends nearby, family not too far (but not too close!). Life is great.

In 5 years my kids will be adults so it’s impossible for my life to be the same. I am facing some health issues recently so I’d be unhappy if I was still in the same place I am now. But as far marriage and lifestyle go, I’m happy.

Extremely sad, I am the lowest I have been. I don't even recognise myself anymore. If I am still feeling like this in 5 years ... I don't even know what to think of that.

It would be unbearable knowing I hadn't managed to get anything I hoped for out of life, was desperately lonely and increasingly unable to cope on my own...it's bad enough now, but the faint hope that some things might improve ifs what's keeping me going. If nothing changes I won't have any hope left in five years.

Content. I’ve got a nice house and a nice new baby (I’ll be sad he’s no longer a baby!), but DP and I are like roommates and I hate my job and we don’t have enough money; I’m content now but I feel like we’re just drifting along with no plan or intention. Wait, actually: sad. I want more than what I’ve got/things to be different.

Content, but that's because I don't believe in happiness as a sustainable state. It's a moment, though I'd definitely like more of them.

Scared. 5 years closer to retirement and no house. 🙁

Mostly happy but I would want to change my working hours (not my job).
I don't get to spend any quality time with my family and don't get a day off with dh at the moment.

I’d like to think we will have a bit more disposable income than we do now with kids moving on from school.

But even if we don’t, I’ll still be happy:

Extremely sad.
I pray everyday to have a job so I can afford a better sofa and at least take my kids on holiday and not keep borrowing 20 quid off of my mum for gas or petrol
My life better improve in the next 5 years

Definitely sad/ depressed. Life isn’t great for me lately

Happy because I wouldn't have lost any of my loved ones who are currently still with us - that's the most important thing to me by far.
