AIBU to back out of park run

AIBU to back out of park run because I’ve realised how far it is and I’m super unfit.
I am fairly slim but my fitness is that I could run to the end of the road. Will I be the only person who is basically walking it?!

Another one who volunteers most weeks. Since the introduction of the park Walker role we have seen an increase in the number of people walking and it’s brilliant!

if a volunteer does need to get away sooner they will ask and be placed at a point where they will be done sooner but that rarely happens.

if someone isn’t sure about giving the course a go just yet then volunteer, volunteers are always needed and it will give a chance to scope out how things work.

Did anyone do Wimbledon Common this morning. Apparently it was event no 777.

Did you go to parkrun OP? I hope you enjoyed it.

Did you go today? I hope so! I volunteered as parkwalker today and it took me over 54 minutes. I chatted to a lady who was also walking. The tailwalkers came in at 1 hour and 4 mins. People tend to walk in 40 mins to around 1 hour 10. They are generally MANY walkers and all are welcome. Don’t be put off. It’s a great community and very inclusive.

@ThePenIsBlue phew, I was just about to correct you. We had a slow walker today who finished in 47 mins.
