To head straight back to work after fasting bloods?

I’ve an apt during a weekday morning for fasting blood tests. I’ve said I’d be back immediately after. But I just realised as I’ll have been fasting combined with the taking blood I’ll probably be a bit weak 🙈 AIBU to go straight back or would you take time to eat something first? I don’t want to take advantage of the time but maybe I should ask for another hour to collect myself!

There are diets more scary than a fasting blood test.

I have just realised all my blood tests (currently they are 10 weekly but can sometimes be weekly, fortnightly) have been done "fasting"..... never had any issues and I've had may 50+

Just take a breakfast bar to eat whilst you're making your way back in. I think it would just feel similar to skipping breakfast.

Also OP (was meant to add this to my previous comment but was distracted by my 6 year old making me play eat my play dough dinner)...

Just play it by ear, chances are you're gonna feel absolutely fine so just take some food with you. If you get to work and need a few minutes to eat then mention it at the time

I'm needle phobic. I was pregnant and did a fasting blood test (two sets of bloods an hour apart) including them annihilating my arm to try and get the bloods.

Went straight to work, grabbed a sandwich from the on site cafe.
