All of mine are vile t shirts I painted in once and now sleep in because they are not fit to go outside in..

I need some really soft and really nice pjs. Money is not an issue. I need them incase I need to stay over night in hospital after an operation but equally if I don't stay In overnight, they need to be comfy and loose. I had some nice jersey ones from next years ago but they're all gross, and they don't seem to do them any more :(

Basically I need pjs/ loose clothes I can live in after pretty major surgery on my lymph nodes and shoulder which is tricky because I have autism and I hate things touching my neck.

Please can someone recommend some shops that do nice soft pjs and / or lounge wear I can wear after surgery?

Primark because you'll probably be near to one and to feel the softness, thickness and stretchiness of the fabric and to look at the necklines etc. They have various soft fabrics and plenty of choice. I just think it's easier than online shopping.

Jigsaw, cyberjammies, white co, hush or British boxers

I don't buy nice things for hospital, I buy practical things that don't get used once I'm back home. For hospital I like outsized t shirts and lightweight cotton jogging bottoms. I have a couple of pairs I've cut and hemmed into shorts. Plus a lightweight cotton dressing gown.
I try them on at home to check they aren't see through, then they go into my hospital bag.

Primark!!!

Claireshh · 29/01/2023 23:31

I like modal material pj’s. Fabric is soft and doesn’t feel stiff at all. My favs are from Chelsea peers, figleaves via Simply be and Sainsburys.

Chelsea peers

WinterFoxes · 29/01/2023 23:45

Primark do the best PJs. I've had White Company PJs and silk PJs but the best ever are Primarks cotton jersey - they just have the softest cotton and they wash very well.

For loungewear I like BAM - bamboo yoga pants or joggers and tops. Very soft and cosy.

I've got some satin Chelsea Peers pjs, they are so comfy & a pair of Disney Mickey Mouse Fleece ones that are like being wrapped up in a duvet, they may be Christmas Patterned but I'm still wearing them now.

Nat6999 · 30/01/2023 00:00

Could you find some nice zip up hoodies to wear at home afterwards, you won't want to be lifting your arm up much after shoulder surgery. I got a set of Figleaves branded joggers & a top, they are fleece backed with a velvet outside with a glittery strip down the legs & sleeves, they are really loose, have cuffs on the legs as well.

My favourite pair of pjs I have bought (and I have bought many) are still being sold in asda.
Winnie the pooh, beigey grey. Says something about naps on them I think. I don't even like winnie particularly but I felt them and they are the softest pjs of all time. They also have pockets!

I bought a beautifully soft pair from there too, black with lovely floral pattern, i was spoilt for choice, they are so comfy and wash well. There was also the most beautiful velvety robe in a muted green pattern that looked very expensive but wasn't i have too many robes or i would have bought it.

I think we’ve bought the same 😁
I got a pair in a soft green floral/paisley pattern too

Stripe and stare. Expensive but so soft. The nicest pjs I have had.

Whattheactualfucking · 30/01/2023 23:10

I am also recovering from major surgery and these are great - I wear them together

Dilling merino long john set - v cosy and comfy but has a deep scoop neck (i also hate anything on my neck). H&M do nice jersey sets and more jogger-style loungewear ones. I also have some sweaty Betty slim joggers and some icebreaker merino ones that are great for wfh and lounging. If it’s cold I add a big cashmere jumper - I have a couple for this purpose off eBay.

GimmeSleep · 31/01/2023 07:38

Cyber Jammies (in the sale 😆)

Mabelface · 31/01/2023 07:42

Primark recycled plastic jammies. No labels and they get softer with each wash. I'm wearing a pair now. Wide waistband with no digging in. They look like lounge wear.

Wednesdayschildhasstubbedhertoe · 31/01/2023 07:43

A really soft sleep tracksuit from Asda. It's got tracksuit bottoms, and a fleecy hooded top. So snuggly in these cold months.

inappropriateraspberry · 31/01/2023 07:47

Agree Sainsbury's/Tu do nice pjs. Nice fabric, not too heavy would be great for hospital.
They wash well and keep their shape - no baggy knees!
