All of mine are vile t shirts I painted in once and now sleep in because they are not fit to go outside in..

I need some really soft and really nice pjs. Money is not an issue. I need them incase I need to stay over night in hospital after an operation but equally if I don't stay In overnight, they need to be comfy and loose. I had some nice jersey ones from next years ago but they're all gross, and they don't seem to do them any more :(

Basically I need pjs/ loose clothes I can live in after pretty major surgery on my lymph nodes and shoulder which is tricky because I have autism and I hate things touching my neck.

Please can someone recommend some shops that do nice soft pjs and / or lounge wear I can wear after surgery?

Hi op, frequent hospital stayer here, another operation coming up too.

But one thing I always make sure of is that there are cuffs on the bottom of my pjs, so when you go to the loo they don't bunch on the floor Envy

Pockets is also a good shout but with you hopefully only being one night just go for comfort. Chelsea Peers are lovely and soft.

Pop to primark and get a few pairs of bottoms and vests so nothing touching neck (can totally relate)
Then get a thin robe to keep warm if you need to.

EllaPaella · 29/01/2023 07:57

M&S fleecy tartan ones I got for Christmas are my favourites at the moment. So warm and cosy.

OldTinHat · 29/01/2023 08:10

Don't laugh, but Poundland! I have terrible problems with PJs in that I find the legs shrink and end up flapping mid calf, the tops strangle me in the night and so on. I bought a pair from Poundland a few months ago for about £8 and they've survived washing and are so soft and comfy.

TheFairyCaravan · 29/01/2023 08:13

Primark have got some really nice ones atm called boyfriend pyjamas. They’re very soft and quite loose fitting.

Rina66 · 29/01/2023 08:20

Hush (they have pockets) Their Nibs (great fabric designs) and H & M (good value) - I like proper pyjamas, shirt and trousers style.

Nighties are best for hospital in case you need to get a catheter in. I love my Primark Disney one (I'm not a Disney fan it just looked loose and comfy, and it is!)

lenalemonade · 29/01/2023 08:46

Love my Cyberjammies

OllytheCollie · 29/01/2023 08:49

My DMum who is very money no object and loves comfy PJs swears by Primark. They look pretty good too. When in the same situation as you but in an emergency needing surgery DH got me some fab comfy pJs at Tesco which I am still wearing, but admit they are not fancy to look at.

WellTidy · 29/01/2023 08:49

I am super picky when it comes to pyjamas. I like them really soft, stretchy so that they don’t ride up (but not tight in any way to begin with), and no need for ironing. I’ve realised that it is the fabric composition that is all important for me, and that is 95% viscose, 5% elastase. M&S used to sell this composition for years but now they tend towards the cotton.

WellTidy · 29/01/2023 08:49

elastane

AragornsGirl · 29/01/2023 08:51

Popsy.
They are a lovely peach skin fabric…and they have pockets!

dudsville · 29/01/2023 08:57

Wearing stuff you don't like, when you don't have to, and even if it's just to bed, is dispiriting. Chuck all the tatty stuff out if you can. Start from scratch. I did this several years back and now have a nice little collection of a range of nice things for a variety of conditions. I always opt for 100% cotton and always wait for sales. I have a couple of brushed cotton night dresses from a Scottish company. Pj sets from cath kidston. My favourites are from toast but i don't like what they're currently offering and they truly are sale purchases.

Squamata · 29/01/2023 09:03

I've got some lacy modal ones from cyberjammies that I love, but pricey but everytime I wear them they make me happy

I don't like bulky pj's, or too revealing, or too frumpy - these are just right.

QueenOfWeeds · 29/01/2023 09:50

Seraphine bamboo pjs. Technically they are maternity pjs but they don’t need to be, iyswim. Comfiest things I own!

Thank you! Off to google!

As a fellow frequent hospital inpatient — I also got some great cotton but cosy His Nibs pyjamas via John Lewis; button up pyjamas are particularly useful in hospital for all the tests; lines; check ups etc. Their sizes are nice and loose & are comfortable enough that seams / labels etc don’t bother my sensitivities either… and nice bright patterns. Good luck OP

Primark. I bought a pair today - £13. So soft & lightweight. Had similar from there before & they wash really well & lasted ages

I bought a beautifully soft pair from there too, black with lovely floral pattern, i was spoilt for choice, they are so comfy and wash well. There was also the most beautiful velvety robe in a muted green pattern that looked very expensive but wasn't i have too many robes or i would have bought it.

Copperoliverbear · 29/01/2023 22:56

John Lewis Edie pjs, love them grey and white stripes, so comfortable have been buying them for a few years now. Have four pairs in the drawer I'm using and two new ones in the wardrobe, I got brought for Christmas for once the others start to go. X

PugInTheHouse · 29/01/2023 23:02

I have so many pairs of pj's but primark honestly do amazing ones loads of really soft ones. My son needs to have comfy ones as has sensory issues so always goes there. My Victoria's Secret satin ones are lovely also.

I have lived in these most of winter. So much so I bought an extra pair so I always have a set 🤣 I'm not sure my child would recognise me in actual clothes anymore.

StormInaDcup99 · 29/01/2023 23:04

Cyberjammies......Great sale on atm too!

BeBesideTheSea · 29/01/2023 23:06

Lands End jersey ones are brilliant - loose fit and no label (info is printed on instead) www.landsend.co.uk/Womens_Jersey_Pyjama_Set/pp/P_39895.html?cgid=11331&dwvar_P__39895_color=9R5

Styperbolic · 29/01/2023 23:07

I like Boody loungewear/pjs. Made of bamboo jersey and really soft and comfy. They have wide neck tops and nighties, and various styles of bottoms (shorts, long loose wide leg, and jogger style with cuffs)

AzureOrchid · 29/01/2023 23:09

Next button up two piece
I have two pairs and they wash like a ribbon
