Can anyone identify this model of car for me please?

My friends husband has taken this photo on his phone and it is not his car. It's a bit suspicious really. Can anyone tell what model it is please? Thanks in advance for any help

She says she was looking at messages to his brother as the brother had sent their new address a few weeks ago and she was posting a birthday card to his wife. Husband seemed ok with this until the car photo and things seemed to go tits up. She walked to mine with the dog and has been here for a few hours.

Maybe your husband had a different car - eg his had been in for servicing and this was a courtesy car. I doubt very much he would have sent his brother a photo from the driving seat of someone else’s car!

I bet it was sent to him, and then he forwarded it to his brother. The question is why would he be touchy about it, and lie about it being in the Insignia, instead of just saying, 'Oh yeah,(name) sent it to me.'?

Thank you. It was taken in early November I believe, sent to his brother as a 'can you believe Christmas songs are on already' text. She asked him. He said it was in his work car which is an insignia. She didn't think it looked like his car. She thinks he's having an affair with his boss. Next step will probably be seeing what car the boss drives. All a bit of a mess but I think I'd be equally obsessed if it was me.

If you look in the shiny bit above the buttons, there is an image of half a mans face. Short haired. Looks to be grey flecks in his hair.

Some kind of Mercedes. An old friend had a Mercedes, can’t remember what kind specially and it looked very similar on the inside

I think it’s a current model E class, but saloon / coupe / convertible or estate would be guesswork.

Yes I agree Mercedes as well, dh just sold his and you can see the led lighting which the newer models have.

Yes.

and he appears to be on the passenger side and the person taking the photo is the driver. You can see their hand holding the phone reflected further up the dash.

My other half is police and says im the best detective hes never worked with! Also says im a blood hound as i can spot blood, even a tiny fleck a mile off.

Im not police, but maybe a private investigator career awaits!
