If there is someone in the public eye whom, for whatever reason, I find mildly dislikable or unappealing*, am I being unreasonable to experience schadenfreude.

*maybe someone who gives me a prince harry feeling

If anyone can help the word is more like being angry/bullying people who are already suffering because they're suffering.

Sorry it's just driving me crazy now 😂

I do.

I was bullied so badly in school I tried to kill myself.

I am always pleased to learn about the latest awful things that have happened to them.

I refuse to feel bad about feeling that way either.

I'm the same. I was bullied at work aswell as school. I heard the teacher who bullied me got cheated on by her husband and I'm ashamed to say it, but it made my day. I think that's a normal reaction really, it's just most people don't admit to it.

I get you op, it’s not like you’re wishing something bad upon the disliked person but it is satisfying when something goes slightly awry.

Yes, exactly!

And it's especially true when the person concerned seems really pleased with themselves.

(Though some people might say that about me!)

"Most people don't admit it"

Clearly looking at this thread, you are so right.

Same.

Bad things should happen to bad people more often, IMO.
