A wine glass fell and two perfect teardrop pieces fell out (please see picture). I think it should be worth something (to someone) but DW thinks it should be thrown away.

You're conflating 'interesting' with 'valuable'. The photo of it is interesting enough to keep, the actual glass not at all.

I know what you mean OP. I feel your vibes. I've often kept crap like that for a while vaguely thinking 'I'll sell it on ebay one day". Three years later, the crap is still there accusatorily looking at me and then about four years later, I get overcome with a clearing urge and throw it out.

Oh God, this reminds me of when DP dropped his kindle and smashed the screen but wanted to keep it “to hang on the wall like art”. This is how it starts; it ends with cats eating your dead face and the police climbing over 40 years’ worth of the Daily Express to reach your body.

It's a bog standard wine glass that has broken into pieces leaving very sharp points and edges. Why on earth would you think it was 'valuable'????

The only person that it would be valuable to would be whoever recycles glass in your area (so use the glass recycling bin for this one).

Well if someone can sell an unmade bed for £2.5m, I suppose that anything goes.

Cover it in glitter, stick some battery operated fairly lights and a fake flower in it and pop it on ebay.
