Just my predictions

The RF topic seems to be looking hot so far this year

Already hidden it

Tinkerbyebye · 06/01/2023 23:01

For the next few days then that will be it

pinneddownbytabbies · 06/01/2023 23:17

I hid the topic in despair yesterday. It now languishes in the bowels of MN, keeping the Covid topic company, and unseen by me Grin

tigger1001 · 07/01/2023 07:38

How do you hide a topic? Could do without seeing the million threads about Harry

creamcoffee · 07/01/2023 07:40

simpley panderin g to a bunch of over sensitive posters.
quite dogmatic

PurpleParrotfish · 07/01/2023 07:45

@tigger1001 there are a couple of threads on Site Stuff about it. For me on the mobile site it’s under the icon in the top right / settings / more settings.

Only other topic I have hidden is Covid.

SmokeyPaprika · 07/01/2023 07:47

Hide it.
Some people are obsessed.....

BrassMarbles · 07/01/2023 07:49

Mumsnet active convo now reads like the daily mail. Seems to be a lot of DM readers on MN nowadays. I remember when no one would have dared admit to reading that filth, now it seems every other thread is started with a link to a DM 'story'.
The 'hot topic' will be whatever the tabloids dictate.
I think I need to turn off the Internet Hmm

hiredandsqueak · 07/01/2023 07:49

I've hidden it as well.

iliketartan · 07/01/2023 07:52

It's hidden along with Covid, Brexit and eleventy million other boring topics that don't interest me.

Squiblet · 07/01/2023 07:59

Life is so much better since I hid it.

NellyTimes · 07/01/2023 08:05

How do you hide a topic on the app, I'm sick to death of seeing all these threads!

creamcoffee · 07/01/2023 08:26

it is nothign to do with DM

plenty of coverage on radio 4

KangarooKenny · 07/01/2023 08:27

Ive hidden it too.

OffredsNose · 07/01/2023 08:29

Why can’t people just ignore threads they’re not interested in?

creamcoffee · 07/01/2023 08:32

OffredsNose · 07/01/2023 08:29

Why can’t people just ignore threads they’re not interested in?

they are stupidly pedantic

Herroyal · 07/01/2023 08:52

Is it? I could care less. Rich family squabbles aren’t something Incan relate to

OffredsNose · 07/01/2023 08:56

creamcoffee · 07/01/2023 08:32

they are stupidly pedantic

Agree.

smileladiesplease · 07/01/2023 08:58

It's all over the news papers radio and tv. What do you expect? It will be something else next week. Covid was slightly more important don't you think

Alondra · 07/01/2023 09:03

creamcoffee · 07/01/2023 08:32

they are stupidly pedantic

I don't think they are pedantic. It's a subject difficult to ignore when the press keeps talking about it and it's all over MN.

I've done my best to ignore it and finally succumbed to the temptation. I've made one post saying what I thought about the whole royal reality soap opera saga, and won't be engaging again.

Except for this post (damn).

Triflenot · 07/01/2023 09:04

If only the whole topic could be hidden from all media outlets.

Squiblet · 07/01/2023 09:44

OffredsNose · 07/01/2023 08:29

Why can’t people just ignore threads they’re not interested in?

Because I mostly read from the "active threads" list, and it was getting very clogged up with royal stuff, lots of interesting topics being crowded out.

chocolateflapjacks · 07/01/2023 09:48

Squiblet · 07/01/2023 07:59

Life is so much better since I hid it.

So weird.

WelshNerd · 09/01/2023 21:04

It's everywhere again!

mackthepony · 10/01/2023 01:21

Apparently it disappeared on its own earlier?!
