Was the school right to march the supply teacher out of the school premises

A newly qualified supply teacher, who is just at the beginning of the career and finding teaching difficult, is asked to leave the school, which they was only covering for the day in a Y6 class midway through a lesson in the morning between break and lunch and not stay until the end of the school day because SLT did not feel that the children was not safe with the teacher as the classes behaviour was out of control. Is this common practice in teaching?

The teacher after letting 2 of the children go to the toilet at the same time, forgot that they had left the classroom and they found by SLT in an empty room on their phones, having been gone for around 30 minutes.

Where were they incompetent. There are teacher standards and codes of professional behaviour in schools which staff have on induction. This unfortunately is a safeguarding matter and SLT if they sent her home whilst investigating did the right thing. If they stopped her agency work before the investigation…. Less so. Safeguarding is everything. Online safety is a huge concern.

To OP. She will find work and hopefully somewhere where she can register for her ECT and get the mentoring and development that all teachers need. I would say she will end up taking this on and developing. It’s a tough job. Tougher than people imagine.

The OP hasn't responded to any of the posts about her sister being the same person who nearly failed her PGCE. I mean they haven't responded to anything, but you'd think they'd refute that if it wasn't true. If it is, that changes things somewhat, there is a pattern.
