Found these in Aldi... would you feed these to your 2 YO or not?

Considering it's not even your child I would seriously consider becoming less judgemental. I'll guess you don't have children!

gemblondie · 30/12/2022 16:02

*Uptight?

bloodywhitecat · 30/12/2022 16:03

I would much the same as I sometimes have a chocolate biscuit with a cup of tea I think a little bit of a treat has a place in every day life.

Basilthymerosemary · 30/12/2022 16:03

Well my 2yr old decided they would only eat plain boiled rice and quavers today. I'm obviously failing 😂🤣 oh well.

Thanks all- my sister gives them to her 2 year old at lunch time along with the Aldi quavers I was wondering if this was right or not

Oh so you’re not asking for your own dc, you’re too busy parenting someone else’s. I think you should MYOB.
Yes I would give them to my 2 year old.

Mine is eating a gingerbread cookie covered in icing in the shape of a rainbow - at least it’s from Waitrose 😂 Guess I’m failing too.

Oh why didn't you say in your OP you were starting a judgmental post about your sister, whose parenting choices have fuck all to do with you? 🙄

What is it about yourself that makes you think this sort of thread is ok?

So you didn’t ‘find them in Aldi’ then, you just wanted to judge your sister.
Your sister is right because it’s entirely up to her what treats she gives to her child.

SemperIdem · 30/12/2022 16:06

A lovely combination of neurotic and judgmental.

Tesoroxx · 30/12/2022 16:06

105 calories for 2, I'd only give one so 53ish calories. I'd say easy to fit in to a balanced meal or snack without any issue to be honest

Caterina99 · 30/12/2022 16:07

My mum bought the M&S version. Kids didn’t like them so sadly I was forced to eat them

Would I feed my child on them exclusively with no fresh fruit or veg or protein? No of course not! Would I let a toddler have one as a treat - yes absolutely. It’s no different from any other chocolate biscuit really

35965a · 30/12/2022 16:07

Yeah I’d give my 2yo a biscuit. If you wouldn’t then fine, but coming on here to basically shame your sister is pathetic.

Don’t be silly. OP isn’t suggesting just fruit, veg and protein - I’m sure she’d allow her children to have the occasional bit of quinoa or couscous! 🙄😂

Have you seen all the reds? That's good I'm not the only one the !

I mean... they’re chocolate biscuits, what were you expecting?

Chattycathydoll · 30/12/2022 16:13

A friend of mine from uni had a mum who was very controlling in terms of making sure all food was super healthy and organic this and that, filled uni digs kitchen with healthy food to cook, of course she ate junk all the time because she finally had the freedom to!! I nicked her wild rice lol. First time trying it so that was more exciting to me than Doritos!

WetBandits · 30/12/2022 16:14

So don’t feed it to your own 2yo and mind your own business about what your sister gives hers.

Obsessing over ‘the reds’ on food and controlling/restricting what your children have in moderation is setting them up for lifelong issues with food, though.

IHeartGeneHunt · 30/12/2022 16:15

I would yes. One after lunch or whatever. Fwiw my 4 year old has always had biscuits, she's 4 inches above average height and built like a piece of spaghetti, so I don't think I've damaged her too much!

maddiemookins16mum · 30/12/2022 16:17

FFS, they’re aren’t poison. You do you and let your sister do her.

WimbyAce · 30/12/2022 16:18

Not something I would buy but my 2 year old eats anything so no judgement here. As long as balanced diet all good in my opinion.

Aye you were wondering eh? Course you were.

NUTELLAPEANUTBUTTTTEERRRRRRR · 30/12/2022 16:18

Seriously, get a life. You sound bitchy, judgy & quite frankly not a very nice person. It’s coming across like you wanted a slagging sesh about your sister on MN.

Grow up.

Blessedbethefknfruit · 30/12/2022 16:18

Tryingformore1 · 30/12/2022 15:47

Why wouldn’t you?

it’s a biscuit, not crack cocaine
