Manifesting? Do you believe in it?

Every Christmas we end up with the dog in the vets.
For all kinds of reasons.
This year DP kept saying 'we better not end up at the vets again'.
This was said multiple times.
Then yesterday we woke up to our dog unable to move. He couldn't move at all. He was completely fine the day before. It was very sudden and frightening.
We ended up in the vets.
He was given an injection and will need medication going forward.

I know this could just be a coincidence.
But it isn't the only one.
There have been more times where something similar has happened.

Last night I was online and a video popped up about manifesting and vibrations etc. it said if you keep thinking something negative or something you don't want, the universe just hears the words such as, for example with mine 'the vets'. Not the part before 'we don't want to end up in.......the vets'.

What are your thoughts?

The law of attraction.
This is an excerpt from Forbes:
Quantum physics offers a probable explanation for the feasibility of this law. One of the founding fathers of quantum physics and Nobel Prize winner Max Planck once said, "As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clearheaded science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about the atoms this much: There is no matter as such! All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together... We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter.
