Who is my car insurance with?

Earlier today a vehicle hit the rear side passenger door.

Problem is I can't find who my insurance is with. Ive checked online and im insured. But ive checked emails, bank statements and can't find it. I've logged onto comparethemeerkat.com but as there is only 4 days left on my insurance it is only coming up with you quotes and won't say who gave the best quote last year.
Strangely I haven't had a renewal quote email or letter.

Can anyone help please?

Good idea re credit file. If you sign up free for Check My File, download (then cancel as it's monthly), it will have who searched you in December.

if your renewal is due have you had a renewal invite? A lot of companies only send them by email nowadays. The only way I could find out who I was insured with recently was to check my bank statement, found the payment to RSA (royal and sun alliance) then googled who that was likely to be then found it was probably more than, then had to ring them to double check. Luckily it was them!

This. The only time I was stopped by the police was during the pandemic. He came up to the window and addressed me by my first name, asked me to confirm my dob. They know all details of insured on car.

Go to the MID. You can check who your insurance is with for a small fee.

The money may have been debited up to a month before if it was new insurance, some insurers charge you straight away

Will there have been a credit check if the OP paid in full and not by Direct Debit?

I just check my old emails. If you're due for renewal I'm a few days check your emails from a year ago.
