Hives and a blackhead?

Goddamnitchiness · 14/12/2022 13:46

@MulledWineAndMingePies The blackhead thing has been there for a long time, so not fussed about that, what causes hives? What can I put on it, I have Sudocrem 🤷🏻‍♀️

Are you ill in any other way OP? Often rashes are associated with viral infections or strep A etc. But if you’re feeling generally well and healthy maybe just a reaction to something you’ve come in contact with

JuliaGooliaaa · 14/12/2022 13:46

Have you any antihistamine tablets? That would help the itching. Sudocrem won’t do much to help

Goddamnitchiness · 14/12/2022 13:47

@JuliaGooliaaa Family had some sort of flu, bad cough a couple of weeks ago, aside from that, am fine, just feels fiery hot itchy at times, mainly at night, but is quite bad today

Footle · 14/12/2022 13:48

Take an antihistamine. And show the little black spot to a doctor or pharmacist some time, in case it's the very beginning of something nasty.

TwoRockSalmonAndAHaporthOfChips · 14/12/2022 13:49

Do you spray scent on that area? You might have become allergic to it, or be allergic if it’s something new to you.

I’d try an antihistamine first, then if that doesn’t work, maybe a soothing cream.

Goddamnitchiness · 14/12/2022 13:50

@Footle Ive had that for years, doctor saw it years ago and said it’s nothing but they can remove it if it bothers me.

Goddamnitchiness · 14/12/2022 13:51

@TwoRockSalmonAndAHaporthOfChips No scent 🤷🏻‍♀️

Shingles? That can be fiery hot itchy
if it is you need to start meds asap. Go to a doctor.

lljkk · 14/12/2022 14:05

When did the rash & itchiness start?

Goddamnitchiness · 14/12/2022 14:09

It’s been itching on and off for a few weeks, but today feels itchy and weird around my neck too 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
lljkk · 14/12/2022 14:30

contact dermatitis ?

FillyTilly · 14/12/2022 14:31

Try Aveeno cream

Eeve · 14/12/2022 14:34

Sounds like shingles - does it cross the midline of your body?

Eeve · 14/12/2022 14:35

Ooh, closer look and it really looks like shingles

MulledWineAndMingePies · 14/12/2022 14:40

It looks absolutely nothing like shingles 🙄

Goddamnitchiness · 14/12/2022 14:50

@Eeve Its just my chest area but it felt like up to my neck, a strange feeling, just got anti histamines,

AceofPentacles · 14/12/2022 15:07

I had this with covid it turned into blisters like chicken pox

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 14/12/2022 15:14

Antihistamines and antishan cream too. Piriton is good as you can take it multiple times in the day.

Goddamnitchiness · 14/12/2022 15:56

@AceofPentacles I had similar but not as bad after the first time I had covid, had it again in May, so not sure if it’s a bit late for a reaction now 🤷🏻‍♀️Definitely feels histaminey or something

OP posts:
Goddamnitchiness · 14/12/2022 15:57

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor Thank you 🙏it’s gone right down now I’ve taken one, was really quite bad before, like it was having a reaction all up my neck, so weird

Redkettle · 14/12/2022 16:01

I had this with covid they blistered after the itchiness went away

Noodlesmumm · 14/12/2022 16:02

My itchy rash led the doctors to check my liver, which led to further tests. Now being treated for a rare ish autoimmune disease called Primary Biliary Cholangitis

It is an unusual disease in that every person's symptoms are different, but generally all suffer itchy rashes

Hope you get it sorted (and it's something external causing it) x
