I have been having some gastric issues mostly bloating, nausea diarrhoea vomiting.
So couple of nights ago I went all funny after finishing my tea and when I stood up I was dizzy and swaying about I became really unwell my dp was desperately holding onto me and I dropped to the floor and he had to help me up he called 999 and they asked me alot of questions which I struggled with as I was ready to pass out. The call operator then said I don't need an ambulance but somebody will call within the hour.
During this time I passed out several times and lost control of my bowels sorry tmi they called back whilst I had passed out on the toilet to start asking the same questions as before and my dp was pleading with them to just send an ambulance but they refused.
My dp had to break into the bathroom as I had passed out on the toilet and he called a relative who took us to the hospital.
Blood tests showed infection and my blood pressure was 45 over 60 which gradually improved they then sent me home because I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow.
Dp wants to complain what you think pls.

I think you've been treated really poorly. It must have been a frightening experience.
It's the very sad reality of the state of the NHS today,
I wouldn't complain. Put your effort into getting better.

I'm starting to think I may have had an allergic reaction to what I ate.

There are no ambulances to send, lots stuck outside a&e unable to unload patients because there is no space inside. I was talking to my mum (an OT) about it yesterday and asked why (in her experience) it has got so bad and she says it's a combination of lack of social care (getting older patients out of hospital), closing of the smaller hospitals (she had a name for these, think it began with C but I can't remember it) and nurses leaving in droves because they can't care for patients properly and aren't getting paid enough to deal with the fall out.

Elderly people who have fallen are waiting upto 16 hours, some are dying from dehydration or their injuries in that time.

In situations like yours making your own way to hospital in a taxi is the best option at the moment

It shouldn't be the best option, but unfortunately that's the reality at present
