On That Ass
Just, why?

PolkaDotMankini · 11/12/2022 19:11

LOL dolls. The amount of plastic per purchase is just ridiculous.

This weekend I was gazing at Carolina Herrera perfumes in those Godawful fetish high heel bottles that are tacky, cheap looking and also manage to cost a bomb. They make me assume the perfume smells of sweaty shoes. Zero desire even to pick one up. Presumably I'm not their market.

I was buying Eau Savage for ds. I like the repackaging into smooth round dark blue and gold so presumably I am the market for that.

GoodVibesHere
Molton Brown...the name makes me think of poo 

Molton Brown was originally a hairdressing salon, owned by the daughter and son in law of the Bernsteins who owned the fashion store Browns of South Molton Street in London. Todays logo is very like the one on the original salon. They branched out onto hair care stuff, then bath stuff. Dunno if the current Molton Brown has much to do with the founders, but the brand has been going for 50 years or so.

Innocent Smoothies. The individual / kids size ones.

I can't fucking open them with the poxy bendy, paper straw. Kids don't stand a chance of opening them.

I end up using scissors and spilling the bastard, sticky liquid everywhere. Why I still buy them I don't know? Actually its because I have a DC who is a very restricted eater so these offer some semblance of fruit / veg. But I still hate the fuckers.

Face creams that come in really thick clear plastic pots to make it feel like you’re getting more product. I’ve had to stop buying Elemis cream for this reason. Such a massive waste of plastic and also I hate the deceptive nature of it.

Juicy Couture
Why would you have Juicy written over your backside for all to see. When I say ‘you’ I really mean me with my huge behind. Although I guess it is quite juicy compared to say a big dimply orange. Fair enough.

Nespresso. Just the sheer amount of packaging.

Nespresso. Just the sheer amount of packaging.

I agree.
I'm a bit Shock at how popular it is and yet we are supposed to be more ecologically aware.

All laundry pods in plastic boxes. Apart from the plastic aspect, they’re a bugger to open. I switched to powder in cardboard a few yrs ago. Laundry is just as clean.

Yankee candles. My dd wont buy them because they look so naff in her living room. Similarly St Eval which smell nice have limited visual appeal.

RustySprings · 13/12/2022 17:17

Baylis & Harding and Soap & Glory. Both look like cheap stuff masquerading as expensive. ( Which I guess they are!)

mellicauli · 13/12/2022 22:25

I love Aldi. But I like their jam but hate the packaging. The lid is massive. Definitely optimised for a man's hand, not a woman's. Same for those big bottles of lemonade.

LadyEloise1 · 13/12/2022 23:43

Wrigleys Extra chewing gum. So much packaging. Though I do still buy it. Blush
