To go for a wee-wee?

DH has just mocked me mercilessly for this. We are at home. I said I’m going for a wee-wee. He says I always say this even in company. I beg to differ as sometimes I say tinkle or Jack Dash or Jimmy Riddle or off for a piss.

I am an announcer though. I’ve caught myself lately sneezing and then saying ‘sneeze’ instead of ah choo or excuse me. Also yawn.

It’s not just me though, right? Normal to excuse yourself in this fashion. Yeah ok, wee-wee might be the nadir but it’s a perfectly normal thing to say?

DH and I inform each other that we are going to The Depository. We might add "I may be some time" if relevant lol
But when my mother is present, I always say I'm going for a slash, because I know it annoys her 😂

Loo

I might be the only person in the world who hates that word.

I suppose if you were Scottish and you were going to urinate a small amount then 'wee wee' would be fine.

This is so funny OP @TimeAtTheBar . Only the other day my family was laughing at me about how I commentate my life. " Off to do a wee now". "Going to feed the cats". " thinking about starting dinner now" '. " this bite hurts on my leg I should find some antiseptic cream" etc etc.
I do the same with TV shows. Can't help myself.
I'm sure we are both lovely and not annoying at all 😂

I also do the "I'm going to sneeze - A a a a a a choo" Extremely loudly.

I do also think it's different when you've got little ones! If we're both downstairs with DS for example, I am effectively saying to my DH - right, I'm going, you are in charge now so try to stop toddler killing himself! It would seem a bit rude to me to just bugger off, because it means he can't leave the room til I get back and viceversa.

After a sneeze, DP and I say 'I'm fighting SOMEthin' in an American accent, attempting to channel Ace Ventura. Never in public though!
