Saving money by not buying anything

DS has asked for a stupidly overpriced coat for his joint Christmas/birthday present and I’ve waited for the Black Friday sale before buying it - just ordered it today and got £60 off, so a good saving.

i also have my eye on one of those hot airbrush things which have also just gone into a BF deal with £40 off so I plan to treat myself to that.

Half the world started it a month ago. It's a Black month....

Don't be so silly. I am also in the U.K. (as lots on here are) and Black Friday is all over everything everywhere. Do you live under a rock?!

Well I was going to buy a robot vaccum but DP promised to keep the floors clear for a week to demonstrate he actually could, and there would be bare floor for the thing to clean.

He has not kept the floors clear for any significant period for the entire week, so we aren't getting one.

I am however childishly excited that my boss has bought us all bears from Build A Bear as our annual 'you do a good job you lot, thanks' pressie, because of the black friday discounts.

I spotted the £££ Beats by Dre headphones for the same price as the next model down I was originally planning to buy in Currys so someone will be happy to find out they’ve had an upgrade.

I've made a wish list on amazon for Christmas and dropped in everything I plan to buy as gifts. If anything drops down significantly I will buy it while it's cheaper. Other than that I'm after a self cleaning cat litter tray for madame fussy whiskers 🙄

I’m an all year round bargain hunter (as a single mum of 5 I’ve had to be), but don’t think I’ve ever seen a real bargain in the Black Friday sales.

I actually got money off something I wanted in a Black Friday sale, a beautiful ring I had been eyeing up for ages.

I am after a new Amazon fire tablet. Mine is 5 years old and has begun to be a bit less responsive.

One of my favorite clothing shops has a true Black Friday sale the day after Thanksgiving (I'm in the US) and I have my eye on a new coat.

Do you mind my asking which one? Am also after a new Miele, we had one two vacuum cleaners ago but I got sucked into a Dyson animal which gave out after about 3 years. Hightailing it back to Miele!

Just purchased some unicorn fleecy pyjamas for my child from Debenhams half price with no postage.

There's never anything I want on Black Friday, it all seems to be tv's etc.. but then the New Look email plopped into my box & I seem to have ordered two dresses.. :-0

A new phone for me and a refurbished one for DD
garmins for DS and DH
New trainers
Possibly flights for a holiday next year
An office chair (someone broke ours this week)

I've been a bit lazy though as I haven't checked out anything already

Oh and DH thinks we need a new vacuum cleaner as well. (I think ours is fine and I use it way more often! 🤣)

A Kindle. It's my birthday present from DH. My birthday was a few weeks ago but I said we may as well wait and see what Black Friday had to offer. I'm pleased we did - saved £25!

I've also picked up a few bits for DD for Christmas saving about £5 on each item.

Has anyone seen any good discounts for a robot hoover? I want one but don’t want to spend loads.

It's not so much products I'm after, but services. I'll be signing up for a new SIM only contract, possibly a new handset, along with new broadband contracts for myself and 2 other family members. We have the arrangement that I save them money and they let me keep any cashback! I'll also be looking for any discounts on Netflix/BritBox/Now or free months etc.

I'll be looking at Kindles, but I probably won't end up buying anything.

I got some Topshop jeans - already reduced to £32 and then another 25% off.

I don't need anything else!
