To have them all!

Netflix, Prime and Disney+
(Also have sky and Dh has all the sports channels)
I just think it's excessive having them all. The kids love their netflix stuff and I use prime a lot for shopping, but lots of stuff I want to watch is currently on disney+ and I'm flip flopping between getting it and not!

If you want it and can afford it then why not?

Overthebow · 17/11/2022 20:06

Can you afford it?

Can you afford it?

This is really the crux of it.

TimeAtTheBar · 17/11/2022 20:07

I have them all. I watch them all. My only down time is tv really. It’s well worth it imo.

Firefly86 · 17/11/2022 20:07

I can, but I just think it's excessive amount of money to spend on TV.

I caved and got disney. Kids use it more than netflix watching endless star wars

LBFseBrom · 17/11/2022 20:09

It's OK if you use them and can afford to.

I have Netflix (my son pays for it once a year as a birthday gift), and Amazon Prime which is invaluable as I order loads of things.

AnnieJ1985 · 17/11/2022 20:11

Apart from sports, we have the same set up as OP, and Discovery Plus too. Totally sucked in as I now watch a couple of shows on each streaming service, so don't want to give any up. If we have to cut back next year, we will, but for now we can afford it

Cas112 · 17/11/2022 20:13

I have them all, still can't find something to watch half the time but in the same breath I do use them all as does my partner 😂

BamBamBilla · 17/11/2022 20:16

You don't need to have them all at the same time. You could just pay for 1 each month.

UnsolicitedOpinions · 17/11/2022 20:17

I have Disney+, Netflix and NowTV (the cheapest version - and obvs we don’t have Sky). We have Amazon Prime as well but I see the TV shows as just a bonus as the delivery pays for itself anyway.

If I had to get rid of one it would be Netflix. I don’t watch much on that any more. I think Disney is the best now.

WeAreAllLionesses · 17/11/2022 20:18

Disney+ great for films and series.

DD watches lots of foreign stuff on Netflix - this is probably my least favourite/least used service.

Amazon Prime is a must though, I use it for deliveries, photo storage etc and I think it's well worth it.

Also really rate BBC iPlayer and All4 which are completely free.

We're the same. Although at this stage I could live without sky, only dh wants it for all the sports. If i could cancel sky I'd totally guilt free get disney! We're not struggling for cash but I still feel like it's ridiculous money for it all.

I'm in Ireland, I don't think we can get iplayer... haven't tried all4.

How much is it?

I don't even want to work it out😳
Disney is €9 a month.

bridgetreilly · 17/11/2022 20:26

I only ever get Netflix for a month at atime. Once or twice a year. If you can do the same with Disney plus, I’d do that. You could alternate?

carefulcalculator · 17/11/2022 20:27

I was thinking about alternating too, that could make it quite a lot cheaper.

If I was you I would get rid of one, for a bit, see what happens.

IntrovertedPenguin · 17/11/2022 20:30

We have Netflix and prime (mainly for Alexa and shopping.)

Sometimes we get Disney if there's a new film/series coming out we want to watch.
Netflix is a must in this house though. Grin

snoodles · 17/11/2022 20:30

You can get Disney really cheap on Tesco using Clubcard points. £8 for three months or something

TheUsualChaos · 17/11/2022 20:31

We have all or none of these at any given time. If I feel one isn't being used much then I cancel for a couple of months. Atm we just have Netflix but come December I'll prob reactivate prime and Disney for the Christmas period.
Never had Sky though as we don't watch much TV and it seems quite pricey.

TheUsualChaos · 17/11/2022 20:32

No one seems to particularly miss any of them when they are cancelled either but I guess depends on your family.

Dippydonky · 17/11/2022 20:34

We skip between them - E.g. Now Tv for a bit, cancel and move to Netflix, then Disney etc.

I find sometimes they’ll send me promotions to get me back and helpfully they often coincides with us switching!

Dippydonky · 17/11/2022 20:36

Ps. We cancelled sky and bought a free view box that records… then use cheap now Tv (currently have movies for 1.99 a month, runs out in Feb so thought it’ll be good for the Christmas films)

I am in Ireland too. We can get All4 here, it is great. Forgot to add that to my list 😳

We can't get the BBC or ITV players
