The office is really hot. I’m going to work in sleeveless tops. I’m going home with headaches etc. myself and other colleagues do as well. We are using fans to try and cool down, management say it’s an acceptable temperature (they also don’t work in the office). They have said in so many words it’s just me.

AIBU to look for a new job? Been at the company three years, seen a job with more responsibility but I’m scared.

for reference the office is reading between 23-26 degrees. Depends on the thermometer location in the office, also different thermometers. I’m feeling I’ll during and after work. Why am I so sensitive to the heat? Im summer I don’t tend to feel too hot

Are you expected to dress formally in the office? Start wearing strappy summer dresses, shorts and sandals so that you are more comfortable in the heat. Take ice packs, cool drinks, sweatbands and sports towels to keep yourself cool. If they won’t adjust the temperature you will need to change what you wear or only work from home.

I’m wearing my summer wardrobe already. In summer it got really hot one year as well because it was pumping out hot air….

included in the rent I imagine. Whole building is heated by the same unit, they prob just pay their own electric.

Can you contact to the landlord? Presumably they don't want high heating bills. If you don't know who they are maybe someone in your finance department does.

If the heating is currently set to 17 have you tried turning it down to 10 or so as a test?

Id go of the other job

I worked in an office that had the heating set from another "main Head building" it was at times unbearable. In summer we turned the valves off on the radiators to prevent the heat. In winter I was going home and feeling really cold as the heating was on 18 degrees
